Mind you he was is from Mexborough.

Edited to correct poor conjugation. Despite being in this thread, he still is

I thought this thread was all about the chase, not the death ? Did'nt we speculate about Brucie Paul Daniels for years before they finaly did the deed.

Sad. The Godfther of Italian gastronomy.

His banter on Two greedy Italians with Gennaro Contaldo was excellent.

Sad to learn that popular singer/songwriter of the 1970s, Peter Skellern, died today aged 69.
The young of today just won't understand!

Bit early given today's standards - so, yes, sad.....
For some reason this had escaped me - very sad news indeed. My sons (18 and 26) are huge fans of the work he did with Richard Stilgoe - the elder one and I worked our way through their albums on the way back from Devon in appalling weather in my newly-picked-up unseen-eBay-buy E39 535i - a trip I'll never forget, and one of my happiest memories of quality time with my son. Concentrating on driving when we were both laughing helplessly was a challenge! among many of their brilliant numbers, the one about the Sinclair C5 (simply entitled "C5") is a work of comedic genius.

This one absolutely shattered my elder son, he was and remains an enormous fan, says Soundgarden was a large part of what got him through his late teens when he was battling severe depression.

Sir Roger Moore is an immense loss - a truly Great Briton, even if the jokes were a bit corny.

Not sure how I missed this one - not unexpected, but a very sad loss of a great man.

Mike Beachy Head - the chap who ran the Thunder City classic jets outfit in South Africa (Lightnings, Buccaneers), has died.
Yep, heart attack, no age either. Despite TC's serious safety failings culminating in the loss of XS451, he kept Lightnings flying after our CAA banned them, and that deserves respect...

How many generations of kids has he kept entertained? Apparently a really nice bloke too. Being given a full memorial service at St Paul's Cathedral on Tuesday - rightly so. https://www.stpauls.co.uk/michaelbond

Another massive loss... one of our finest actors, hugely important as an historian too, one of the last living links with Lewis and Tolkien...

David Shepherd - one of the giants of our time - we'd have no Clan Line, Black Prince, etc etc without him - superlative artist too. Tireless campaigner for wildlife conservation. All-round good bloke.
