While I agree his music was not the best, he was a pretty impressive pistonhead -

- he took part in the 1967 Rally de Monte Carlo - driving a Ford Mustang

He also owned a Ferrari 250 Gt California, a Bizzarini, a Lamborghini Miura and a Porsche 928.

Got to give them a few minutes to get off the dance floor and buy a drink, nobody on the dance floor is spending Money wink
True.

It was very annoying though - you'd build people up, keep them dancing - and then Johnny would ruin the mood.

This is what I'm talking about

I'd play something like:

Hahaha - I'm serious. I really resented it.

Having been made more familiar with his work than I was, from his passing, the only person I can think of that we have the equivalent in English speaking music is if Robbie Williams keeps going he could end up there.

I see what you mean - started off promising, bit of electronica, syncopation with a bit of cross fading, and then.....er...stopped being promising. Very quickly. wow.

I suppose being waist deep in gallic clunge made up for it though eh.
( one for the cringe thread there hehe )

Having just watched the new episode of The Grand Tour I would support the assertion above that Jeremy Clarkson is going downhill rapidly. You can visibly see the high blood pressure and effect of alcoholism in his skin colouring. James May isn't much better.

He is 54 now, you've probably lost track of time watching repeats on Gold from 15 years ago.

I'm down for Clint Eastwood again so he has another year of health and happiness.
In a similar vein, Kirk Douglas.
I believe that Kirk Douglas has died, just shy of his 101st birthday. frown

Death - your time has come my child, take my hand and follow me into the next world

Clint -

Death - oh, I must have the wrong address. Please accept my deepest apologies Mr Eastwood, I shan't bother you again.

Clint Eastwood is safe for years to come, the Grim Reaper is still trying to regain his nerves after the 3 day bender with a certain Mr Kilmister at the tail end of 2015

No, no, no: we all know that sort of conversation would have been better scripted by Terry Pratchett:

Bill Mortimer:

THIS SCYTHE, WHICH I SHARPENED BY SUNLIGHT, AND BEING THE MOST POWERFUL IN THIS WORLD OR THE NEXT, COULD TAKE YOUR HEAD CLEAN OFF. SO ARE YOU FEELING LUCKY , PUNK; ARE YA?

OH I SEE.

NEVERMIND. BYE FOR NOW.

OH, COME ALONG, BINKY...
