Anyone into trainers/sneakers?
Discussion
How do you tell fakes on ebay? I have a pair of Nike Air Presto Ultra Flyknit which I wear to the gym but they are past their best and want to replace them and been unsuccessfully looking for another pair, have seen these www.ebay.co.uk/i/172412233561?ul_noapp=true do they look legit?
It's unlikely anyone is ever going to bother faking Prestos. I'm sure they'll be fine.
On the other hand, I bought a Canada Goose Chilliwack on eBay last night for £150. So that'll be interesting. The photos looked legit so we'll see if/when it turns up.

Is there a way of contacting CG to see if its legit? On the other hand, I bought a Canada Goose Chilliwack on eBay last night for £150. So that'll be interesting. The photos looked legit so we'll see if/when it turns up.

If new, I'd have ran a mile!

I'll be able to tell myself once it arrives (I may have one or two (or four) already). It's covered by eBay and Paypal so if it turns out to be a fake, I'll just get my money back. The fakes are usually pretty easy to spot on eBay:- Fake fur is really easy to spot
- Look at the URL on the label, a lot of the fakes have www.canada.goose.com
- The stack and position of labels, either side by side pre-2016 of stacked in a flap post-2016
- The stitching on the disc logo
- The general appearance should be pretty chunky and not a lifeless slab
Nike Air Pressure.
I bought a pair in 1991 on my first trip to the US from an outlet store as they were launched in 1989. They were expensive even so and my parents were surprised / appalled.
They were a pain to lug around in the big, stupid box but i did to keep them clean. I was rubbish at basketball but played in them. They weren't that comfy apart from the around the back of the ankle where the air pockets were. The pump was separate from the shoe which was a pain sometimes.
I think I binned them in the mid-2000s even though they were still in the box and in reasonable condition for age as was "never going to wear them again" and they were worth nothing on eBay at the time.
Am I looking at the re-release versions now on eBay etc? You bet.
