Anyone into trainers/sneakers?

Everyone is different, there are some people who just grab the latest and greatest to show off (called Hypebeasts if you see the term being banded around), but that's all good. I just buy what I like, the tech stuff like the boost from adidas is great, but if it's not a nice shoe I won't get it for the sake of it.

For me the shoe that is massively overhyped is the Yeezy, everything that the shoe is about should appeal to my tastes, but for me they just look a bit crap. The only reason I'd get a pair would be to make money on (you can easily Triple your outlay, a friend sold a pair he wore for 6 months for £900, they were still in good condition though).

If it looks good and I can afford it it gets bought, it's as simple as that. Doesn't matter if it's a £30 sale shoe or the latest ultraboost that sold out in 2 mins online - I managed to get a pair though luckily

I've got some denim Italias from 2004 that I still wear sometimes. The guy who I do the FB and YouTube thing with has about 7 pairs of micropacers, 6 of them pristine I believe

Does gone else make lists of what is coming out and what they'd like? Not that I make a physical list, but I have one in my head... For instance, in March the Adidas Iniki is launched



And I was really tempted to go for them, but in the same month so are the original Air Max 1 colourways



And the atmos ones, but think these are going to be super limited



So as I can't really spunk out on 3 pairs in a month as the Mrs will go mental, I'll bin the Inikis and wait until summer when these are released



Just wondering if anyone else puts this much thought into it, or am I a complete nutjob as my wife calls me?

Bit late now for any of the raffles, and adidas confirmed has already expired. Best bet now is to head onto adidas.co.uk from about 08.00 tomorrow morning and join the online queue. Make sure you're logged into your adidas account, don't refresh too often, and when the page starts going round itself it's a case of sit and wait.

Also, don't use loads of tabs and/or devices unless they're on different IP addresses or you can get blocked by adidas.

Day off today so doing the rounds to see if anything takes my fancy and came across the Nike Air Huarache Run SE in Pure Platinum & Pink Blast colorway. Not to everyones fancy but I couldn't resist, I quite like a bit of pink in a trainer. First time using Endclothing.com and surprised to see they take the VAT off at checkout for non VAT paying customers which I great because I am in Jersey.

Whats the best spray for protection against spills and such.

Ha!!! I/we just get what we like. Last few purchases been adidas, but love a pair of Nike AM Zeros I got before Xmas. For some reason though 90s just don't do it for me, 1s and 95s though are class.

My lad is 7 and he's mad on trainers too. He just saw that the EQTs have released in juniors and is pestering me for some, but £65 for kids sizes is taking the pee a bit, especially when he won't look after them and will grow out of them in a few weeks

Nice one on the yeezy drop. I tried but didn't manage them. Wasn't bothered for the triple blacks, there's some air max coming out in March, and might go for some adidas inikis. Triple Black Ultraboost next week too
