Much love for those. End only have them in small sizes now (albeit at a good price), but am considering a seller off eBay for a pair of size 11s in green. I'm an adidas retro fan with several pairs of zx700/zx750/zx800/jeans gtx/handballs but would love a pair of marathons.
You checked the adidas website, few different colours available some in the sale some just launched!

Get some pics up, I love adidas retro stuff, wearing some Spzl handball tops today!

Question for everyone - going to a fancy pub in a few weeks for lunch, dress code smart casual, recon I'll get away with trainers? I have smart shoes just thought it a good time to wear one of my nicer pair of trainers!

I change email addresses and phone numbers etc quite often.

Can't remember what one I used to speak to you privately.

It's a pub. You'll be fine.

I've worn those burgundy/black sole Hamburgs at smart places.

I keep seeing the name Ray B mentioned on some videos on Youtube relating to a certain book and it's characters. Wonder if you'd heard of him (or if it's your old man!)?

Its got a Michelin star (if that makes a difference) so not just a normal pub, doubt they are showing the footy for example!

But will give it a go might just put my shoes in the car in case they get snobby (which will instantly put me off the place)

Saw a mate of mine in some black Balenciaga Runners the other day they looked good on him, think he was wearing jeans to some event, thought I would check them out in selfridges - Awful!! Whats the general consensus? Bloody expensive too!
Personally they're not for me I appreciate the design but wouldn't wear them myself, also as mentioned they expensive and a fad. Having said that I think they look better on girls.

On the topic of high end sneakers I've ordered both of these in the sale and can't decide which to keep, the top one has become a 'Trend and classic' and been around for a couple of years, the second one is their newer design.

Before I answer, in what context is he being talked about?

Why are they high end? They both look like they are out of a Sunday supplements magazine next to dvt socks.

PM me if you want (I think it works) and I'll send you some links. But in the context that he's a main guy up there with DH and Co.

One of my regular haunts is a decent country pub, (also Michelin starred), I've sat in the bar with a sarnie and a few pints, or outside in the sunshine many times in trainers, however, wouldn't dream of wearing them to the restaurant. I would suggest trainers never, ever, fall into the realm of smart casual.

Oh I know who he is. I was just wanting to know what was being said about him and by who?

He's a private person.

If you Google his name you'd probably find the comments, or look for that Panorama video on Youtube about DH and check the comments. There was a lot of comments saying he'd been banged up but there doesn't seem to be anything that confirms that even if you copy and paste the so called 'excerpts' from the media somebody has posted. I thought the the comments were all just one person with an axe to grind replying to themselves!

Boss and other Italian fashion brands (and probably more) have been pushing clean normal looking trainers in mono colours (not dads trainers some seem to favour on here) with suits which can work.

So someone with an axe to grind! Google his name and add Ray Winstone and it should be the second link (WHU forum).

Anyway, laces, do you leave them as they come out of the box or do them in a particular style?

Be surprised if the star makes a difference. But can't hurt taking a pair of shoes with you.

Wearing an Omega watch might help...
