My mistake.
I liked these in the original launch advert, which looked lighter in other photos.

Then i thought i liked these,

school boy error on not trying on a pair of AMs in this country before ordering.

does anyone know a place in the USA that will ship to the UK? The Hot Wheel collab looks like its going to be a USA release only (Europe gets some stty other colourways)

So the diamonds have not been delivered today, i asked for them to be dropped off at a local store. All day they have been showing as waiting to get to store. Now the app is showing that they were collected from a dpd depot by someone of a completely different name.

Have others had this or should i be worried??

Worried.

DPD are the best couriers. You usually need ID that matches the parcel recipient when you collect a parcel.

Maybe the shop thing changes the terms but I doubt it.

Im half wondering if it has just been brought back to the depot by the courier.

It left their depot at 1000 to go to the shop i asked for it to be delivered to, but then shows at 1300 it was collected by someone and now Nike and DPD is showing as collected by the customer but the signed for name is completely different from my name.

The collection didnt show on their system though until about 2100 hrs before then it just said out for delivery to my requested store.

Well they've arrived today.
Ordered on 24th October via StockX so it does work.

Wish I'd got the next size up though!
They feel just about long enough but the width is too tight.
Is that a trait of these Nikes?
I'm sorry these don't fit as expected. I can't remember if you went to a store to try on similar pairs or if you just went based off measurement guides?

Have you tried all the normal stuff like thin socks, no inner soles etc? Are they definitely the size you ordered? StockX have been having issues recently with various things.

I had multiple problems with DPD last week, so much so I actually got a hand written card and a cake the depot manager this morning to say sorry.

One delivery that went wrong was because the drivers routing system went haywire and it was delivered to the wrong house, where somebody was not home and a card was left, driver then tried with a neighbour before being refused and then sent the box back to depot.

The real issue with this first one was a card was left at the wrong house, giving someone access to my tracking information. That person had organised a re-delivery to a pick-up store the next day only it wasn't his stuff - it was mine. So I had to make some calls to DPD to have them alter the tracking, lock it so it couldn't be changed and then wait and hope it arrived the next day - perhaps something similar has happened?

Hopefully it can be sorted but i guess either way its not the end of the world. I got the black diamonds because i wanted a nice looking black trainer not because they meant anything to me. I will give them a call at 0800 to see what the crack is.

No trying on first for me sadly, just an impulse purchase!
You lives an learns as they say.
I'll try without the inner soles later but they are US size 9, maybe I'm a US 10 now.

This one?

Not one I’m bothered about do you want me to try for you? Size 9 again?

Am i right in thinking by the way if we both win so mine are surplus that i need to resell as to return then gives me a black mark and a lower chance next time? I have heard this to be the case but seems completely the wrong way round surely if anything you should get rewarded for returning instead of reselling, although this does bring its own issues of people manipulating this.

Ooh, yes please.

And I've no idea about the dark magic that goes on behind the scenes at Nike.

A quick up date on Stockx. I tried to put them back up for sale/auction for £124.00 but some how pressed the wring button which I'd then agreed to sell them to Stockx for £29.13.
I contacted them via email straight away and got the following reply which makes me think they're a good company.
I have no affiliation with them by the way.

Thanks for reaching out regarding your recent sale. We are making a one-time exception and canceling the sale without penalty. Normally, we would charge you a 15% penalty fee for not shipping the item once an order has been confirmed.

We understand that mistakes happen, and are happy to help out. In the future, we ask that you be mindful when managing your listings within your StockX account.

Please let us know if you need anything else.

Thanks,
Thad

Out of interest, the type of trainers that seem to be allocated by ballot/raffle (which seems to be quite frequent), what are the production numbers on them worldwide and typically how many are available to the UK market?

Does FOMO ever drive your purchases?

I woulf of said no until last week. I wanted to smartish black trainers didn’t really mind brand or whatever but saw the black diamonds were going to be a limited release and figured i would try for these. For me though its more that i like to wear things other people don’t have, not from a showy point of view more like a those that know know those that don’t don’t care kind of view. I have a corum bubble watch and a bell and ross milatary green, to people who know watches they’re quite nice pieces and you don’t see them around, to those that aren’t into watches they just assume, if anything, that they are £50 pieces of crap.

I completely agree with this!

I tend to buy smaller brand names of clothing or stuff before it gets big so that I know I'm not going to be dressed in the same thing as someone else. Lots of my friends often ask where I get my stuff but I never tell, mostly to avoid this fear coming true - it happened before where I was wearing a specific brand and then the next time the guy who I told was dressed head to toe in it - it lost it's appeal after! Same with shoes, I like to have things that aren't common which was why I was so disappointed when the Yeezy's started to re-release, not because I don't want others to have the nice things but because it means they're now more common.

I don't suffer with FOMO with shoes though. I only buy what I like and if I don't like it it gets sold.
