Yeah boy do I feel a dick, before i read this I thought I’ll have one more look at them. They aren’t glued in fully but i pulled the sole out found a massive dollop of still tacky glue which was holding the insole down righ on the heel to the arch, have temporarily sellotaped this over as didnt want to get some rubbing alcohol if not this. Seems to of fixed it completely the glue was holding the i sole down but the insole was springing away from the glue as i walked giving the popping sensation.

Mixture of feelings between boy do i feel dumb, and finally i think i have it sorted.
