Just been speaking to a flight attendant. Apparently a easyJet held for 50 mins trying to into Isle Of Man this morning. It diverted to Gatwick after the first officer was sick...
He/she is never going to live that down.

Watching some footage of pilots brining in planes to land. Some top class crosswind landing.

I imagine there were a few sick bags used today.

I am suffering with a bit of wind today. frown
Just spent 90 minutes on the carport roof re-affixing the twinwall polycarbonate panels back into place. Three of them were flailing about making an enormous racket. I have doubled up on the recommended number of fasteners, so hopefully they will hold them down now. Bloody Doris!
God, it was windy and wet and cold up that ladder. And not a little scary at times, I thought I was going to blow off! Lovely day for roofers! smile

Looking forward to journey home tonight. Euston - Crewe, Crewe - Gobowen (where?) then drive even further into the sticks. Latest from home is that several approaches to the house are blocked by fallen trees and branches, and power is out which also takes out our water and heating.

A local lady had parked her car under this tree. Not recommended, as the falling sap can adversely affect the paint finish....

Luckily she was not in the car at the time.

The local services attended, but I can't see how that flimsy plastic tape they tied around it will stop the tree blowing off the car? rolleyes

Damn you Doris mad my E36's bonnet has been gouged by a flying something-or-other frown Absolutely piddling compared to the damage some have had of course and at least it wasn't a roof tile but still...

I suspect that they hadn't screwed it to the slabs/paving. Been looking at a smaller version of one of those.
It was sitting in the middle of the lawn this morning, they're in the middle of laying the slabs I believe. At least they won't need to disassemble the shed again to move it..
