And I've got two guys replacing my upstairs bay windows today - right back to the bare stonework. I've opened the fridge door to help heat the place up!!

Just back from walking the dogs, was very windy.
Driving through the village, most of the recycling bins have blown over and rubbish is strewn across the high street.
From my lounge window I see someone's bbq cover tangled in a tree.
Lots of whistling wind noises too whistle

It could be mine, I'd be grateful if you could hop up the tree and check please.

Some snow around Perth, particularly on the higher ground, it has caused a lot of problems on the roads, I believe the M90 was closed due to the number of accidents on the high section south of Perth.
I have been appreciating my winter tyres.

Isle of Man Airport closed, ferries all cancelled.

Loads of roads closed with some pretty big trees down. Plenty big enough to seriously hurt some in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Loads of debris on the roads and falling from trees, roads closed due to roofs and tiles flying about, including the roof on the power station.

And the biggest news of all is that the newly returned Macdonalds is shut as the roof might come off, although they would have probably run out of food later since the ferry was cancelled anyway.

They tend to overhype these things these days but we have as much damage as I can remember from a storm for a good few years.

That'll be expensive, roof widely damaged and box sash windows too!

My holly tree in a pot blew over, thankfully my 2 week old fence is completely unphased, but then I did a proper job.

I'm currently in Glasgow and need to get the train back to Preston at 4pm, then driving down to Reading tonight.

Currently, the WCML is flooded near Carlisle, the electricity has stopped working near Warrington (so all of my trains are therefore fked) and I'm contemplating whether just to stay up here an extra night.

Don't you just love British weather!
