Mrs Dawg does this all the time. We stopped in the corner shop so she could buy a 99p bottle of Coke and she stood there laboriously counting the exact change whilst ignoring several Pound coins.
Mrs K will hand over her change in the corner shop, then arrive at the supermarket with no coins suitable for releasing a trolley, so has to go inside to get change.

Bank holiday surprise visit to the mother in laws tomorrow.

She doesn't know but the Step daughter and BF are there so we know its not a wasted trip.

Anyways I couldn't have today off work so going at 6am tomorrow morning, MRS400 been off work all day today so I "suggested" she should commence packing as we need to be gone in the morning.

Ive not long rolled in from work, to be greeted with ZERO done on the packing front but shes sorted the dogs stuff out in to a bag.

So ive gone upstairs and started piling a few things up, shes arrives and says no no leave that ill do it in the morning.....

MRS400s normal time for awakening is 645am of a week day, and when she sees fit on a weekend.

This is not going to end well.

HOWEVER shes had her nails done so all is well FFS

Today, SHE organised a meal out with friends, SHE picked the time and place, SHE dictated our departure time for a 40 minute drive. I'm sitting in the car, 20 minutes too late to meet HER deadline, I wander back up the drive to find HER taking smartphone pictures of her Clematis plant, it was my fking fault we were late.

The Mrs gave me a lift to the train station this morning, so we HAVE to leave on time. Why does she then think as I'm about to lock the door, that this is a good time to go back in and start watering plants ? Then she goes back to take something out of the freezer !

There's money to be made here though.

Eric's ex faffed, so he wrote a song about it.

Wonderful Tonight
Another track inspired by Pattie Boyd, Clapton wrote the song on the evening of September 7, 1976, while waiting for her to finish getting dressed so they could head off to Paul and Linda McCartney's annual Buddy Holly party.
Running late for the bash, Clapton recalls that Boyd kept trying on clothes and coming down to ask him, "Do I look all right?", to which he replied to every outfit, "Yes, you look wonderful. Can we go now?" Eventually picking up his guitar to keep himself occupied while he waited, he came up with Wonderful Tonight.
"Wonderful Tonight was the most poignant reminder of all that was good in our relationship," says Boyd of the song. "And when things went wrong it was torture to hear it."

I love that story.

I offen dig around my huge Mulberry (packed full of stuff I might need) for my purse at the till after I have been told how much it is. The reason for that is because I am normally too busy chatting, or gooing over some cute baby, or nutterin to some old lady, the cashier or just running back and forth to get stuff I forgot or that I spot from the corner of my eye while queuing.

Strangely enough, for some reason my purse is often at the very bottom of the said bag. And yes I count the change to get rid of it because coins are heavy and would damage my purse- then I pay the rest by card.

I also never have coins for parking or trolleys. But he waits patiently - in the car or at home.

He always gets up and comes to the door to say hi when I pull up from work. It takes me about 10 minutes to park straight, get my handbag and laptop bag and some shopping. By which time he is still standing there with no will left to live. I hand him all the bags, give him a kiss hello and remember I have not put the car on charge. To do that I need my bag back............

The thing is I realise that I do this, I do try to improve but I just get distracted by things.

Check your Household and Travel insurance policies- it may be covered under them.

Lol. Just this minute

Pauses the film to check the washing in the tumble drier.

20 minutes later, laundry in the dryer changed, dishwasher emptied and reloaded, kitchen cleaned, coffee cups removed from living room and god knows what else we finally continue to watch smile

Typical. There's no logic to this craziness is it.

Can't believe I haven't seen this thread before now. Getting out of the house with 2 young kids (3 and 1). I'll be outside, car packed, kids lashed down accordingly, just waiting for the wife to lock up and join us. I can't go in, because I'd have to leave the kids in the car on the street. 5 minutes can go by. We're late already. What the fk is she doing? The car's packed. All she needs is her shoes, handbag and coat.

The washing machine was about to finish, so I thought I'd hang the washing out.

I wasn't sure the back door was locked, then I saw next door's ball, went out to return it, got chatting to them.

I saw a stain on the carpet, needed to clean it.

COME ON WOMAN! All these things can wait!
