Hello my brother Steve,
I am very sorry , I am not blaming you, it is all my fault, Honestly I never planned for you to spend any money steve, if I hard known that there would be another payment honestly I would have done that here , I understand your situation Please my brother Steve,Please am sorry for all these .

I accept it is all my fault I have written to the diplomat also several mails pleading for him to help us , today no response from him...brother am just confused. Please don't be angry with my assist me .

I'll let him stew for the rest of the day

So these are the type of people you're dealing with - ruthless and don't care if it's your last penny in the world, they want it. I wonder if I can get a telephone number off of him as his IP is showing first coming out of the US but I believe that's the Microsoft Outlook servers he's using and I can't find his source IP.

The custard is a good idea though smile

Thanks for the offer. TBH I am short myself, awaiting a box to arrive. I am just hoping that the other fella has given me the correct pin code otherwise I have no idea how i am going to pay the deposit on the F40 I inquired about.

Excellent work laugh

I remember on 419eater some people actually got some money out of the scammers and also got them to post some very funny photographs of themselves , absolutely hilarious.

Try and get an address in Spain!

The sad thing to remember is some people fall of these - but I can't see how!

This is incredibly entertaining, especially when you imagine his face when he receives another reply; "Yup, I'm just playing the long game before I get my luxury pad in Nairobi!!"

Diplomat Dave. hahaha. This has really brightened my otherwise dull day of phone calls and organising house refurbishment.

Brilliant.

In a word, 'significantly'.

I do hope you explained your current 'predicament' to the people on the other end of your conference call!

Is this some elaborate hoax to sell your wife's car? I'm not falling for it.

But well done. My parents had one recently. I told him I'd spent his £400 on new shoes. He wasn't happy. Activated a call to BT at the time he was calling my parents and left them to it.

Have I mentioned I hate this 1980's font we're forced to use when replying. Its like DOS all over again.

Anyhoo; the custard was always going to be a make/break kind of thing; nothing ventured, nothing gained, so I replied to George

=====

George,

It certainly seems like you're blaming me. I'm deeply offended and have thought about nothing else for the past couple of hours, I had to go for a walk around our local nature reserve to clear my head and get my thoughts together.

I've come to realise that whilst you know my identity and everything about me; I actually know very little about you apart from what you've told me. I've got no idea where you are, what you look like etc. I would help me greatly if you could send a picture of yourself to me but I'd appreciate if you were holding a sign that said says CUSTARD on it; that way I would know that it's actually of you and no-one else. I'd also appreciate if possible a phone number I can call you on to discuss this - I don't know if the phone calls are possible as you're on patrol which is why I thought a picture would be the best option as this could be done at any time when you get the chance to relax.

On the money front - I'm managed to find another £50 which currently only leaves me £850 short at this time. Sadly I have no family to turn to as they are sadly no longer with us in this world.

The picture would re-assure me that you are a good christian and trustworthy which will re-inforce my commitment to resolve this for us both.

Regards

Steve

Wondering if he'd actually reply I was surprised to get and email fairly sharpish from George with two attachments

It seems we're now soul brothers!!!

Now I was excited as you are about opening the attachments but figured it wouldn't have worked. I was right; it didn't.

The group image and I'm quoting here 'U.S. Army Spc. Timothy Rodgers shakes the hand of an Afghan boy during a meeting with the boy’s father, a village elder, in Afghanistan's Ghazni province, May 4, 2012. Dean, a infantryman, is assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division’s Company C, 2nd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team. U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Michael J. MacLeod'

The solitary figure is a guy called Patrick Murphy from Pennsylvania who served as under secretary for the the US Army.

In the meantime I shoot an email back to Dip Dave to show I'm still interest but have things to deal with.

=======

David,

Just to let you know I am still interested in completing this transaction but I'm waiting on a couple of things to take place, one financial and the other with my partner.

I'll be in touch.

Regards
Steve

=======

He replies almost straight away. In Bold

=======

Ok. But have in mind that your package has stayed more than the due time and also note that you are not the only client that i have to attend to so because of that do not think that you can reach me anytime you want.

Thanks.

=======

Humming and hawing about pushing for custard I opted to push it. Georgy Porgy get's an email back

=======

George,

I am still looking for additional money and I've advised Diplomat Dave that I'm still keen to proceed.

I see from the pictures you've sent through that you didn't read my note - I was expecting someone to be holding a sign so that I can trust you; even if you get one of your colleagues to hold a sign - I picked the word "Custard" to be put on the sign as that's what I was having for lunch. I'd appreciate it and would trust you explicitly if you could oblige with the sign.

I'm off to see an old school friend later today so will see if he can assist with some money towards the shortfall.

Look forward to receiving the picture; then we can proceed.

Regards
Steve
