Some low cost airlines use re- tread tyres and fuel without fire suppressant to save costs.
Most commercial airlines use re-treads, IIRC. Fuel doesn't have fire suppressant (it was tested but failed??)
The test failed rather than the fuel. I used to work for a guy who was involved in the trial. They deliberately crashed a remote controlled 707 to demonstrate how safe the stuff was, but there was a delay of several seconds in the controls and the pilot lost it a bit towards the end, resulting a ground pylon ripping through an engine causing big fire. The fuel was intended not to mist/vapourise as easily, which massively reduced the risk of fire being started by sparks, but doesn't really help once the liquid fuel is well alight.

There is a Hangar on some remote Airfield full of brand new Spitfires in crates
There were a load of merlin engines found in a hanger in Spain back in the 90's, my then employers bought a few.

The prototype Hillman imp was so fast that it was considered too dangerous to sell to the public, so tiny valves and a single carb became the production standard.

almost true, it was detuned for sale.
I've heard that about the Mini as well.

True, 4 times retreaded or more IME. Retreaded by the OEM, no difference in performance or safety. They set the retread number by testing. Tyres typically last 300-500 landings between retreads on a typical shorthaul narrowbody, less in summer.

The engine was originally designed to pump water, among other things - the FWMA - detuned, yes, but for reliability, not dangerous power.

The Imp was a bloody good car. Arguably better than the Mini.

Back to the myths.

If you're self employed or have your own Ltd company you don't pay any tax.

Nah, they are monitored now and don't have the perpetual sale anymore ... however for some unbeknown reason OakFurnitureLand somehow are exempt to the ruling for sofa stores and have had a sale on constantly (under different names) for over 3yrs now

Often true. You generally don't arrive by ambulance for something trivial so you'll be likely to move up the triage list ahead of the ingrowing toenaisl, tummyaches and pans stuck on little boys' heads, won't you?
