Those people thatwho insist on 'yourself/myself' instead of you/me. Idiots.
FTFY but agree with the sentiment. I believe they think it makes them sound more intelligent but to me has the opposite effect.
I actually saw "yourself" being used in a job advertisement this week. Can't find it now to link to.

"crossbreed dogs, while literally a mix of breeds, differ from mongrels in being intentionally bred"
That is a dog owners interpretation, they don't like people calling 'Wuffles' a mongrel. If you check a dictionary, "mongrel" is not conditional on whether a cross breeding was intentional of not.
Dictionary.com: "a dog of mixed or indeterminate breed."
Cambirdge: "a dog whose parents are of different breeds"
Oxford Dictionary: "Any animal resulting from the crossing of different breeds or types."
Colins: "a plant or animal, esp a dog, of mixed or unknown breeding; a crossbreed or hybrid"
A few more....
I irrationally dislike 'back in the day'
Inserting hashtag into sentences...
Also in any Property show...everyone has boxes that need to be ticked...or the property may tick all the boxes or indeed it may not tick any of the boxes... often accompanied by the presence or not of 'The wow factor' ....

When I watch Homes Under The Hammer and the estate agents pop up and say per calendar month.
In fact the whole programme annoys me it was bad enough when it was just fat boy and gnashers presenting iy. Since they recruited the box ticking Ian Wright wannabee with his boundless enthusiasm the programme has got even worse

I don't think I could pronounce this correctly let alone drop it into a conversation, I love it though, whatever it is.
It's a phrase that refers to the choosing or inventing of two-part names in Latin style - often used in science. EG, 'Homo Sapiens'. Also, 'Turdus saxatilis' (Common Rock Thrush) and 'Eatius Slobbius' (Roadrunner) [attrib: Chuck Jones]
Pronunciation...
Binomial: Buy gnome e al
Nomenclature: Nom en clat ure.
It's only me speaking didactically

Get a job, then you won't be in the house when it's on. In fact the whole programme annoys me it was bad enough when it was just fat boy and gnashers presenting iy. Since they recruited the box ticking Ian Wright wannabee with his boundless enthusiasm the programme has got even worse
