Collecting stuff
Discussion
Computer keyboards can be quite collectible. Specifically those with mechanical switches instead of the more modern rubber membrane types, as well as the key caps from aforementioned keyboards. Rare sets of keys are sometimes sold for three figures, and certain keyboards cost an absolute packet as well.
Honourable mention goes to the IBM Model M, which uses buckling springs and lasts forever... if you can find one.
Easily the most unusual collectible item I know of as most people only use whatever keyboard they are provided with. Once you try a mechanical keyboard you do come to understand their appeal, if not the appeal of owning several.

I sell a lot of random stuff on Ebay, and it constantly amazes me what will gain 20-30+ watchers. I recently had a non working barometer with cracked front glass and people were going absolutely nuts for it! Ditto with random old instruction manuals. Some odd things people collect!
Very impressed with the collection above! I'm constantly adding to my daft diecast collection with toys like the one's below. And as you can see by the headboard in one of the spare rooms, collecting can take over a little.

I still have a barometer with a broken glass. Very impressed with the collection above! I'm constantly adding to my daft diecast collection with toys like the one's below. And as you can see by the headboard in one of the spare rooms, collecting can take over a little.
First time I took a girl home, nervous about parents and stuff as my father was a bit eccentric, it was pouring with rain. As we approached the house the front door opened and a barometer came flying out of the house and onto the grass, followed by the words - 'see for yourself you bloody thing you'.

Haha, brilliant! I have an incredibly eccentric American stepfather so I feel your pain. I used to be very apprehensive about bringing my friends around, let alone girls.First time I took a girl home, nervous about parents and stuff as my father was a bit eccentric, it was pouring with rain. Well mine went for nearly £35 so even if they can't predict the weather, somebody wants them!

I have 175 Matchbox RS2000s.
Is it alright if I ask why? How did you get into collecting Matchbox RS2000s?First ones I bought was way back when my sisters kids were small and I was in a toy shop buying Christmas presents.
Then I started buying them from tables at car shows for less than £1 each and when I found eBay ,things got out of hand.
I won about 30 off one seller in about 1 hour once, I missed one car that someone else was bidding on.
