You were just hoping that somehow the discussion would be morally detached....which given the subject matter is impossible. I am still not sure what you hoped for out of this/thought you were going to get out of it.

With 2 young kids, most of it.I got out of one, no kids and managed to negotiate it down from "everything" to a 42/58% split of a big property equity in her favour to meet her "housing needs" plus half my pension.
