Hi gents, I'm trying to track down a bloody annoying squeak from my front near side suspension on the 390SE. Tonight I've taken the bloody lot off to check all the components and bushes. I'd recently replaced the top wishbone bushes and fitted new shocks so they are all good. Ball joints and lower suspension bush look reasonably new with no sign of wear or slop. The rubber spring mounts however are another thing. The lower one is perished and turning to dust with loads of holes in it. Also there is no top spring rubber whatsoever. Can someone let me know if this is normal? Also any clues where I can get a new set of spring rubbers? ML Performance and TVR Parts haven't got any on their websites. Thanks.

Perfect. Thanks Glen. Are you aiming to come along to any of the TVRCC 70th runs? I've provided the route from Telford to Ebbw Vale (which amazingly comes through our village) so the plan is to join up with some of the cars as they pass by on the Sunday and then head down.

That's cool it's going past your gaff. Need to check my diary but likely be ok :-)

Sorted. The 390SE now rides without a creak, rattle or groan.

1. Totally stripped the front offside suspension down, bushes were all good but spring rubber was perished so now replaced and suspension rebuilt with loads of rubber grease, copaslip and new bolts and nylocs.
2. New shiny rose jointed drop links fitted and they are just lovely without a rattle.
3. The body was also rubbing on the front chassis cross member so jacked it slightly and fitted a few inches of 5mm rubber.

Thanks for all the advice. Time to get the bucket and wash cloth out I think. Cheers.
