In one respect OP, I can see why you'd be p!ssed off at this situation and you do have my sympathy. Secondly I can see how you'd like to stitch her up a bit considering she's the caused of the situation you're in.

All that aside, the big picture is that you have two kids. I can say from experience that having any kind of distance between you and your children is incredibly hard.

I know this as my little girl lives 130 miles away from me and do everything in my power to keep things civil between me and her mother. This is mainly because in-between times I don't see my daughter, her mum will send me pictures and let me know what she's up to etc. Without that I would find it a lot lot tougher.

So my advice would be just crack on with the maintenance, forget about whatever the hell the ex is up to and make the most of your new relationship and enjoying time with your kids. smile

She works two days a week, she wouldn't get that much if she didn't work I think. Which is good in a way, it encourages people to work and helps them. As you earn more, the payments drop. Thing is, it gets to a point where it's not worth it to work more. My GF works 2.5 days pw, I've told her to work more if I'm to move in and she's opted for the extra day that's been offered and put herself forward for full-time in her office.
She will earn £1 less per month working for the extra day.

i am not condoning murder.... but if someone was about to split with their partner it's best not to weigh up 18 years of no money and restricted access against a healthy insurance payout and full access....!

ETA that was a joke FFS before anyone starts or mods start getting trigger happy!!
