Lawks! Where's the Sedative Trolley when you need it?

It's okay, Bobberoo, be calm. WE are the ones doing our best to alleviate the world shenanigans shortage. Us.

It's a thankless task but we do it tirelessly.

Please, carry on shenanigating before some officious person arrives with a Shenanig-O-Meter and proclaims we are falling behind.

That would never do.

PHEW!!!! For a minute there I may have got just a teensy bit worried!!!! Right then, first up, still got to straighten the upper corridor after yesterdays ricochetathon, then down to the hangar to see just what Bomma has been upto, finally a brisk walk to the front gates to relive Mrs B who apparently has been on stag continually for three days mainly due to "someone" forgetting to roster anybody else!!!!

It's a fair question, it's just down on the list as 'ETA 11.10'. I'd like to think it's going this morning, though with this bloody backlog anything could be happening.

I'll keep an eye on it and report back.

Yesterday was spent, er, flushing out the system, you could say.

I'm six pounds lighter this morning.

On my desk there's a report with an eye on it. It's beastly.

You would say if Battert had resumed his dalliance with the old Ornithopter, wouldn't you? It didn't end at all well last time.

Can someone see if he's sporting an eyepatch?

Loud mechanical flapping noises from back of the large barn and birds with bald patches in the aviary would be a giveaway too.

I haven't seen Battert this morning, though I do still have the benefit of vision in both eyes so it's not through want of trying.

The Elevenses Trolley is coming round at ten past eleven this morning. Except it's not, it's now delayed until 11.25.

I'll be sedated soon and won't care.

Note to Self: avoid phrases like 'I'll tell you where to stick that.'

I did see Battert in passing this morning, he seemed to be wearing waders, a trench coat and a panama hat, not sure where he was going but it was the general direction of the Large barn!! yes

Hold your galloping gee-gees a moment. There's a Mrs. Battert? I always thought old Battert was one of those asexual bachelor types. Well I never.

hehe same here old chap, still it's not hard to see why, I mean he is a bit of a catch, he has all his own teeth, his eyesight isn't bad and despite the limp he can still do a passable Highland Reel when the mood dictates!!

I'd be interested to know too. Matron's on standby in case any medical intervention is required upon his return.

There's a trolley loaded up with Beer, Chips and Lardy Cake if he feels thirsty or peckish.

Lunchtime trolleys on the rounds now. Afternoon Tea looks like being around 15 minutes delay. No scones though, the ingredients have apparently gone into the Lardy Cake.

Yes, yes, references to Battert and Mrs B are indeed to the indomitable husband and wife team who look after us and the house. They also attend to the grounds and the vehicles and visitors and outbreaks of violence and Battert tends the Bar. Mrs B makes the jam and Battert conducts the experiments. They are also in charge of car parking during busy periods. The rumour you may hear that Yolanda Battert is in fact Battert's sister who adopted the title Mrs during the war when the RAF were stationed here to fend off amorous piolts is incorrect. The proof offered by the siblings rumour that they have separate rooms can be discounted as it is a convenience for them as they are both on call 24 hours a day.

Sufficient signs of life were detected for them to discharge me back into the community, thanks. So it might just be my prostate allied to my great age that set them off on their path of discovery. Nothing terminal so far.

Beer was specifically excluded from the celebrations but no such restrictions were put on chips and Lardy Cake.
