Morning chaps. Am I too late for breakfast? Battert promised me some of his special recipe "bang bang" raspberry preserve with my toast this morning but I fear I may have missed out judging by the curses emanating from the scullery. Sounds like a tiger self-flagellating in there.

I've just taken a phone call in the hangar, H&S fella complaining about one handed trolley pushing.

I've asked him if he'd mind fking off and doing something useful whilst we're resolving the issue.

Extra trolley this morning at around 09.30. Lemon Curd & Anchovy Tart. Blame Battert, I only load the buggers up.

Sorry DRFC Dicky was round with the breakfast trolley at 8.01, the next trolley isn't scheduled for another 40mins, as for Battert, I'm not sure what's got into him today, he was even more surly than normal, and that's saying something!!!!!

The phrase 'repelling the creeping barrage' reminds me I have my colonoscopi exotic pasta date tomorrow and can neither eat nor drink anything other than clear fluids until about noon tomorrow. To divert myself I walked into town. I passed the Kings Arms and thought I'd like a pint. Oh, drat. Passed the chip shop and thought I'd just have a small bag of chips. Oh, idiot. Passed the bakers and thought I'd really like a slice of lardy cake. Oh, my goodness, am I obsessed with food and cloudy drinks? I tell you, tomorrow afternoon is going to be a Beer, Chips and Lardy Cake Fest of epic proportions.

HA!!! We had one of those at school, if you were a naughty boy (Who me Matron, no it wasn't me HONESTLY!!!!) you had to print off stuff using one for the school, by Christ it made your arms ache!!!!!!

By the way, are there enough trollies for all of you? There seem to be so many in use at present. I believe I saw a very early Caraway Seed Cake Trolley this morning. It was dark mind. Gilt finials if memory serves.

Due to the amount of work, we've set up a small accommodation area in the hangar with a woodburner, microwave and camp beds so we'll be ok.

It was indeed the Caraway you spotted this morning, on one of its pre-commissioning tests. Gilt finials indeed, they've been refurbished by Messrs Endcap & Sons of Kirkcudbright.

Unfortunately, the High Speed Hot Dog's gone off on the peri track again. The afterburner's kicking in too soon, we'll get it right one day.
