As the TT Weekend is proving difficult to organise, should we consider a Joint Project?

If so, I think I have found the ideal thing to focus our attention, enthusiasm and skills upon.

A wire brush and a visit to B&Q and we're almost there.

AND it would save using the Sunderland to pop to the shop.

To coin a phrase, "Don't worry it'll buff out!" hehe
I believe his Dickyness may be onto something you know, I mean these "Sleepers" are all the rage now, drop a big stupidly powerful engine into it we could take turns water-skiing around the lake!!! yes

When I first saw it the Sunderland did spring to mind, I was thinking more target practice though.

However, when you look at it closely there's not really anything there that can't be fixed provided we can get it on the towpath.

Can't see much going wrong myself...

That's settled then. I'll drop by old Mr Pickford's presently and ask if we can borrow his mobile crane.

(Or his 'mobile France' as suggested by my phone's predictive texture.)

Can't see it being ready by wednesday. At a minimum it's going to need a good rollering with vinyl emulsion, it'll never be dry in time.

£143 + ? Good God, the bursar will have bloody kittens. Don't get an itemised bill, get them to put 'accommodation' on it instead.

Don't forget we'll have to wait for the polyfilla to dry first!!!

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

I leave you lot for less than 48hrs & someone comes up with an impossible 'plan'

That thing will not buff or gripfill back to life. In Marine parlance it is Phuqued, it has sailed its last!

Anyway it's got too wide a beam for rowing, no cabin for protection from the elements, or Avian attack, fking Pelican will undoubtably use it for target practise & you're too late for entry into the Regatta at Trivton this weekend, closing date was last Wednesday.

Furthermore. We have only 1 mooring on the Canal, bequeathed to us by The Late,General Banter, silly old goat never understood how to wind his Half Hunter, & the bequest was on the understanding we only moored an old Lifeboat. i.e..... Mine.

Incidentally, when will it be returned from the Shipwrights?

Gentlemen. Give it up, get over it & move on!

Ion I am availing myself of the wifi of The Westminster Hotel in Le Touquet with a 'Bierre Pression' whilst 'The Cost Centres' trawl the towns boutiques. Coops thinks he's got problems with Bar bill!!
