I've got to go up there again?

Jeez.......
We could add to the shrine.

Are there any of those really cheap teddy bears there yet? The ones that signify inconsolable loss?
And candles, and wilted dried up flowers, and notes from people who have never met, talked to or even seen the person (George) before!!!

That's it! The title for the Trivial Towers Tribute Album: the person (George) before.

All the old favourites.

A friend of mine is in his 60s, he tells the tale of a right bking he got from his wife when he came back from a particularly heavy night out. He was asleep, the gas fire was on, all the burners on the stove were on the back door was open and his van was sat in the vegetable patch running and in gear! He had overshot the end of his drive, got it stuck then left it there.
hehe At least he hadn't put the chip pan on...

Going back to the Norfolk pub I mentioned earlier, little story concerning one of the 'regulars'.

He was around 60ish, lovely chap he was, MD of a local company. Liked a good drink and gained a reputation for the daft things he did when he'd had a few.
He lived about half a mile from the pub and following a particularly good session one of the other regulars gave him a lift home, via the Fish & Chip shop.
Next night he was asked if he'd enjoyed his fish & chips; he'd forgotten all about them and never ate them. What was odd was that he couldn't find them anywhere. A search of his house was conducted over several days to no avail.
The upshot was he'd had a new kitchen fitted and all the old units had been stacked in his garage awaiting collection by someone who was going to re-use them. Lo and behold, when the old cooker was being moved to its new home the fish & chips were in the oven. Bit past their 'best before' apparently...

I think you are doing it wrong old chap. 2 hours work, 8.5 coffees surely? And a couple of Rothmans behind the bike shed.

A hostelry in Norfolk I used to frequent did a lovely drop of draught TT's Landlord, did make me sneeze though.
At least something in there did. Could have been the Guvnor's Old English Sheepdog I suppose.
(that's not another beer by the way, it was a real dog. Bit like the old Dulux one in the adverts).
scratchchin Bomma, was that hostelry just a bit downwind of the Colman's Mustard factory?
The emissions from that erstwhile establishment could trigger the old auto-immune response.

Incidentally, I had a brief chat with Lady C. herself at Goodwood last year. She was positively charming. Oi bet she would have been a nice bit on the side a few years ago. wink

I believe the correct mandated union approved rate is 1.75 coffees per 3 hours worked with a regulated break at the 5.75 hours worked stage with a further .25 coffee enhancement once 10 hours of employment have been reached. HTH!! smile

No, this one was in Marham. Long gone now, I believe a house has been built on the old site frown

Thanks for tidying that one up Bobbers, at least we all know what's what.

I quite fancy a coffee and a couple of Hobnobs now. Would you mind if I borrow your calculator?

Curved Air are performing in Newbury in September. The blurb reminds readers of their biggest hit, Backstreet Luv. I like it. I liked it sufficiently to go to Reading Festival to hear it live in 1972. I think it may have defined their career.

A friend did that. Woke up the next morning and wondered what the humming was. It was my his car parked on the driveway with the drivers door open and engine running.

I like a bit of Curved Air. 'It Happened Today' is a good one for me, though I think that's maybe one of their later tracks?

Anyhow, waffling about fish & chips earlier has set me on a mission, we're having them for supper.
I expect it needs to be supper, as 'fish supper' sounds better than 'fish dinner'.
There we go lick Nice bit of crusty bread and butter too.

Right. Thats week 3 over & done with.

Kent tomorrow to see a man about our fence, apparently its at 45 degrees after yesterdays gales!

Was planning on having a few in the B&L tonight but as i`ll be leaving home circa 06.15 I will swerve it so i`m not literally swerving round the M25 en route.

Sausage Baguette & a tea from Greggs Medway services for breakfast then......... Mon!

Hand carved ham, egg & home made chips tonight & Magnum ice cream for pud with raspberry jus apparently.......... More Mon lick
