I can foresee a small problem here 1) it can't land on the lake along with the Sunderland 2) there is NO way they'll let you taxi that across the cricket pitch and finally can Bomma actually fly it!?!?!?!
Got wings ain't it?...... Of course he can fly it!Bomma220 said:

To be honest I have trouble flying a kite Jim.Might be able to mend it if it was broken? Need the Haynes manual for it though.
Ruskie thing, you see. Wouldn't have a clue what the plug gaps were off the top of my head.

One of the selling points of the IL76 was its ability to host cricket matches in the hold.
Mind you, my Russian isn't what it was. They may have saying something entirely different.
'Cricket match' in Russian is 'матч по крикету' . Apparently.Mind you, my Russian isn't what it was. They may have saying something entirely different.
You're right, they could have been saying anything.

Apparently I didn't make myself clear. Land the plane at tea when the chaps are in the pavilion and resume after tea in the plane's hold. Tell 'em night time cricket is all the rage. Tell 'em they just need pink balls.Mind you, my Russian isn't what it was. They may have saying something entirely different.

Got wings ain't it?...... Of course he can fly it!However, in the real world they will only respond to pilots with Russian tongues.
Anybody here speak Russian?
I'm quite fluent after a few snifters of Absinthe, but then I'm in no condition to go flying.
...or am I?
All we need is a few hundred lilos tied together on the lake to make a nice soft landing strip.
C'mon guys, let's do this!

Yes I like it, I like it a lot!!! I don't have any lilo's, but I do have 2 dozen inflatable sheep(the luxury ones which bleat on forward thrusts!!) and 4 spare blow up dolls, now where did I put that buzzing box from earlier...................
You seem to have forgotten about giving those dolls a love bite, at which time they farted and flew out the window.....coopedup said:

Just a thought, instead of buggering around with lilos and sheep, couldn't we just belly - flop the thing onto the lake, a bit like
that Sullenberger chap did with an Airbus on the Hudson River?
Apparently, he used to fly F4 Phantoms in the U.S. Air Force. I know a chap who used to fly them in the RAF and I beat him at Connect 4 once, so it can't be that bloody difficult.
