Never worked on big stuff but I did go for an interview with a company called Dowding and Mills, they did marine and marine electrical repairs, they had a lathe set up with a 10 foot face plate and 36 feet between centres!!! You sat in a seat with power feed on the saddle!!

Chateau de Savigny - Les - Beaune......a lot of other stuff tucked away inside to see too.

Look it up on maps,it'll give a clue how far I drove Sunday night to Wednesday morning.

I've had a good look in the piggy bank, it's not looking too bad in there.

Going to have a look at a Vanquish tomorrow.

I'm going to treat myself to a Nom.

It's an old beast Dicky, 2003 in fact. 5.9 so it should get a reasonable shift on.

Only companion is Flat Eric,he goes everywhere with me ,in the old Cosworth there was room in the dash cubbyhole for Eric's twin brother, named Eric .

Eric has been photographed on a Baltic beach in Sweden and on a sign near the Ring.

Lovely. They were the first of the new generation of cars which were hand made but not bashed out of sheet aluminium. Although the newer cars are associated with Gaydon the original Vanquish - or certainly the early ones - were built at Newport Pagnell.

Say if you know all this, I can go on for hours.

Seeing the mileage post that RDMcG posted t'other day ,Fabio the FIAT is currently sitting on 111,110 miles.

Note to self ,take phone out on next drive and stop after 1 mile.

Displayed miles is about 18-20,000 short of actual miles.

I also have a Flat Eric, it lives on the rear armrest in the X-Type.

Also pictured most places the car goes...

Haha that's brilliant, maybe we should start a "Who's your travelling companion and where have you been thread" I think Peri would possibly win with the sheer number of places!!! Pic of our two in their home environment, it's funny as they only travel to and from our holidays not out and about!!!

A Flat Eric?

What do you mean a Flat Eric?

frown

Do you see how just one thoughtlessly applied indefinite article can ruin a chap's day?

I mean, you don't say a Father Christmas, do you? Or a Tooth Fairy?

Ruin a chap's day.
