Your base will need a retaining wall.

Wall may be an overstatement but you need something to contain your balls. Once the balls that form the base of the pyramid are in place the rest of the pyramid is plain sailing. You'll fly through it. It'll be a walk in the park. Do you need another run through?

Create a Grand Gallery and form a triangular system that hauls the balls via a counterbalance system with a clever flipper to return the counterbalances to the vertical shaft via a horizontal one.

I could go on for ages and one day it will be a book, but we have cracked the Peri method of golf ball pyramid construction that has confounded millennia of research. We (my mate Spadge and I) went to South London to investigate but just don’t have the time to write it up yet. The available information will get the Pyramid to 2/3 height so there will need to be another grand gallery above the first.....

In 10 years time when we’re miwionaires just remember you read it here first. He’ll kill me for writing this....

Sounds like an excellent idea to me! Traditional square based pyramid, or tetrahedron?

Really trivial fact, I used to work for a guy who imported lake balls/pond wash balls recovered from Florida golf courses. The main hazard for the divers there was alligators!

We got 600 23kg boxes on a 20’ sea container and 1,200 on a 40’ container. Each box had 500 balls in and we would get through at least 20 or so big containers a year, with extra stuff being flown in as well.

(My ex boss was/is an ahole. He docked my pay when I went to my Dad’s funeral... Being older and wiser now, I’d have left much sooner than I did).

I like that Perimyd!!! I propose we position it near Batterts Trivton Henge site with It's newly formed as yet unfilled pond, and the burial mound which we're pretending is a Tor!!

Bobberoo is fully rested, Dibble is 1mm taller, Dizeee is still asleep, Peri is building the World's largest golf ball pyramid and Pushfit is still boring.

Half past ten and all is well!

There will be further updates as this riveting story unfolds.

I take exception to that, I haven’t even started on the merits and demerits of counter boring versus counter sinki....

I knew I need walls round my balls ,no way they would stay in a large pile unsupported.

I just remembered another story from my trip ,unbelievable that I haven't shared it yet.

I stop in a scruffy car park near Lake Garda again and park in the corner.

Another car drives in ,parks 50 yards away ,man and woman inside.

After a few minutes ,car moves and parks a little closer to me ,odd but no problem.

Man gets out ,goes behind a small building.

He's there for quite a while ,strange.

Turns out the woman had exited the car unseen by me.

There was a sexual act going on behind the building ,I could see the man as he was doing it at the corner of the building.

I exited sharply ,didn't want to spend any more time at the local dogging site.

Riveting? I can tell you al'll you need to know about Riveting. I can probably remember nearly all of the part numbers for a multitude of rivet types.
I still have my trusty Chicago Pneumatic 4X rivet gun, so smooth and controllable cloud9 but packing a hefty wollop that could handle even the most recalcitrant titanium tough buggers.

Sorry, but the brief on here is for trivia, and here you have it! thumbup

I’m no taller yet. Winding starts on Friday, but it should just be the bone that grows, internally.

Not a euphemism. In quite a bit of pain at the moment, even just lying down. Feeling a bit cheesed off at being house bound. On the plus side, my very lovely and supportive GF collected my idiot dog from the kennels yesterday and brought him home. She’s already walked him this morning and will be back later.

Said pooch is happily snoozing next to the bed. It’s weird how empty the place feels when he’s not actually here, even if he’s off in another room, it’s nice having him around.

Did I mention "Shmee150" blagged a car from Mercedes to enter the Mille Miglia and naturally he filmed much of it

either himself or his support crew in his own AMG GTR.

I don't like his vid and I hate selfie stick filmers.

I don't dare say the above on the car vlog thread as the Shmee love is currently high.

I've agreed to collect an eBay thing from someone local to me for my 'friend" in Essex.

It's a big ball thing you put plants in and leave outside your house, apparently.

I might need a bigger little boat.

Where's DC with his Jaws meme ?

I’ve been doing some “research” (Googling) for the Perimid...

https://www.forbes.com/sites/kevinknudson/2016/03/...

I’ve also given more thought to the “Chinook as strimmer” conundrum. There are all so Ts of issues about flying helicopters upside down, so I think a better solution might be to think more laterally, and just use the hatch in the bottom deck of the Chinook to dangle a foofing great strimmer out of. Or fashion something using the cargo rope so it spins in a strimmer stylee.

The bonus of course is the rotor down wash alleviates collecting any of the pesky grass clippings. We still avoid divots too. That, gentlemen, is what I believe is referred to as a “win-win”.

Leggy McLegster is still v sore. Giving it a solid 6/10, presently.

You know what Dibble you could be on to something with the old flying strimmer routine, do you reckon we could lop the old flagpole/bloomer situation down at the same time?!?!
Nurse Cratchet please increase Dibble's drug dose stat!!!!
