Passed the first house of the ‘season’ fully bedecked and lit up for Christmas ... tried to nab a picture but I was passing on the train

It was bensham in Gateshead for anyone in the know
I'll try and divert past and see if I can spot it. Shouldn't be too hard if it was visible form the line

Halloween decorations still up, three days after Halloween. Spotted today in both Reading and Newbury.
Just wait for the christmas decorations. Up 'till Easter.
There are ragged flags on lampposts round here which have been up for 20 years or more. Ulstermen love putting them up, and then not a**ing themselves to take them down. They might if there was money involved,

Male stripper?
I’m in good shape for my age - but stripping is not a viable career choice. Nobodies going to pay money to see that.

I expect both the car and caravan are in good roadworthy health and are fully legal. Otherwise why else would they be parked up on the road outside a primary school?

A 'professional mermaid' and she attends parties? What does she do just lie there like a slug?

Each to their own and all that but that's boll*cks.

they have them in Disneyland/world my 3yr old was totally captivated meeting Ariel when we went to Disney a month or so ago - she sits there on a makeshift rock formation against an under the sea backdrop most of the day meeting and greeting kids (mostly little girls) who've queued a short amount of time to see her

So she previously had a city job, has set herself up as a professional photographer and is now doing the mermaiding thing as well.

Sounds pretty industrious to me, good for her.

Oh wait, this is Pistonheads and she's daring to go out in public not looking like a supermodel, so she's branded 'council' and a whale. rolleyes

well the debt is owed to use- we're a housing association. we'll vaguely pursue it, then write it off. IF she really wants a home again we'll set up a payment plan- you know £2.00 a week !!

However I might be a bit flippant- I'm very careful to ensure the needs of children are met and no one is left vulnerable.

basically even if evicted- the council will still house them into a home (in this case another 3 bed flat) where they remain till housed again by another association or perhaps into a managed private rent property.

the law/society/state will always pick up and help idiots, because of the children/vulnerability.

So for families, you are teflon coated.

which is rubbish, but then again I don't want to see little Jaxon, Shaniqua, Fallon Rose suffer because mum and dad (ok mum and fly by night dad (s) are idiots.

bit like dealing with sex offenders. do you house them and then know where they are, fully monitored, or let them float around in the private rented sector ?

Or burn and torture them ?

tough decisions. And today, the world is worrying about some MP possibly touching some woman's leg and sending a text. How do we think men and women have been making contact for the last 100,000 years.
It's very laudable of course, but this is exactly the problem. Sprog out a couple of kids and you're guaranteed home and money.

Not sure what the answer is really, and three or four generations into the 'breed for cash' society, the truth is that there probably isn't one.

Check out her website, and consider how much you would pay to have her take your picture

I'm not sure if I imagined this, but I'm sure I read of some swimming pool that had had to ban those mermaid "legs" swimming costumes.

<goes off to google>

Oh yes...

I think it's probably a safe bet that the sort of girls that are into "that sort of thing" are quite, quite mental. Fantastic.

So fking what? At least she's out there making an effort. rolleyes

Still, easier to sit and snipe at her for daring to go out in public without checking first that she measures up to the acceptable standards of a bunch of fat balding middle aged men on a car forum. biggrin
