they actually get a homeloss payment.

debts to us are deducted. this means most of them don't get the full amount. they are heartbroken.

although I witnessed a couple of tenant's necking cider back at 9.00 am the other day, giddy with joy about the pending cash coming their way.

think lottery win joy, life changing money joy, birth of a child joy.

or the thought of 9.00 am more cider joy.
Just gone up haven't they? £6,00 these days I think?

£6,100.

one of the tenant's I'm moving said to me today

" you shouldn't be giving most of them anything, they'll all be dead in a few months, over dosing on all that extra drink and drugs that they can now afford".

many a true word spoken in jest.

Hell yeah?

I dread to imagine what you look like if you think that is even worth a second look. What an absolute swamp donkey.

There is zero logic to link between a comment against an article and my physical disposition - idiot

Most of the Sofa places offer minimal deposit with 0% finance, nothing council about using someone else's money rather than pay out over a grand of your own in one go

Indeed. We've just ordered new sofa's from one such place.
Very difficult to tell the difference between a sofa from a posh place and a shed when the posh place is 2 -3 times more expensive and don't offer credit.
£40 a month over 4 years is basically free.

Anyway. I did spot these beauties on the shopping trip.

Enjoy.

so we're demolishing some flats. the tenants naturally and fairly now get an alternative home of their choice.

It's fascinating looking at the data of how many want a larger home "because they're hoping to win/get/back/have a court case" where they may get custody back of their children.

A sad indication of society !
It really is a sad state in that regard.

When my wife and I were going through the system having our son who had complications it was disconcerting that every time we went through paperwork with a nurse or doctor. They seemed genuinely surprised to find that I was in fact the biological father and that we were married long enough for it to be planned.

It says a lot that over half of my wife friends from school have children now and not one of them has the Dad involved at all. In your early 20s it must be tough. Plus it is a little sad for those kids.

Don't they "involve" the father by using double-barrelled surnames? Surefire way to get them to pay child support. Just look how many "promising young footballers" now have two surnames, mum's AND dad's.

The days are long gone when double-barrelled suggested country homes and weekend shoots. It's still shoots, but of a different kind.

You're right nicanary. Double barrelled surnames are like the word 'estate' - they exist poles apart at the extremes of the social spectrum. We middle-classers are lucky to have two first names let alone twin surnames, and we strive to avoid estates unless they are of the F-Type Sport Brake variety.
