Offence? Saturday, shopping, hungry children. Greggs, Sausage roll each. We had a pasty.

I've taken my kids in for a sausage roll but I refuse to eat anything from there. Ergo, my kids are council.

I willing to be flamed but I'm not sure the odd trip to Gregg's is council, it's good value and mostly baked in store (I think). I certainly prefer it to Costa (maybe I'm just council though.....)

Chartered ? Or "qualified" as in "not-really-an" engineer ?
What difference does it make to a commute?

it doesn't. they are playing the system that is why he works part time, they will get same benefits money wise as working full time. they then just get used to handouts, easier than actually working.

And all before reaching 29! I'm taking odds on the number of different dads!
I'm going for 3 different dads

comments are well worth reading. I like this one:

"Someone needs to take responsibility!"

Says the woman who treats her womb like a clown car...

weirdly I visited an identical flat/low roof flat recently. The lady I visited was lovely, her children and her home wonderful.

she has a tiny blow up pool- 1 metre across with a few buckets of water in. set on artificial grass, bit of fencing up, few toys- really nice little set up. really trying to be a good mum and do something for her children.

v this one with an 8' pool !!!!

The woman with the 'pool' on the flat roof is a single celled amoebae of the highest order.

Blaming the leaks on bust drains. OK..... said drains are designed to deal with rain, not a tsunami of 2000 litres of water from fk trophy number 4's swimming pool.

And what must that amount of water weigh, a tonne? It's lucky that her offspring didn't also go through the ceiling of the charity shop!

A litre of water weighs a kilo so if it was 2000 litres that’s 2 tonnes.

Doesn't say why mum or dad won't get a job.

Kid has an iPad though, so can't be all that bad.

I would expect anyone who had gone to the trouble of getting proper post-graduate qualifications to be a bit more self-aware, professional, ambitious. Maybe I'm deluded.

There’s a family of 12 who live in my (small) town. They’ve got two council houses knocked together to make a 6 bedroom house.
Apparently she didn’t even know she’d had the last one, it just fell out.

I knew a family that managed to wangle the same thing and they didn't even have that many kids. i think they only had four! The downstairs of the two joined houses was pretty much open plan and was massive, and of course two gardens knocked into one.

Of course they were both overweight and 'needed' a downstairs walk in shower/wet room type arrangement so the council came in and did it for them and when ever anything got damaged or they fancied an upgrade they just made a phone call.

When he smashed his uninsured car up he discovered the mobility scheme and got a brand new car. At one point he even got in trouble for running a cash in hand painting and decorating business to top up his disability benefits. He got told to knock it on the head or risk losing benefits, no further action was taken.

If you know how to work the system you can live quite a cushy life..
