I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but a trip to the pound shop today to buy tea bags for work made me realise that any sportswear that's not being worn for sporting activities is utterly council.

Pound shops also tend to smell of councilness, chip fat, fags and BO. Lots of home died hair, piercings and tattoos on show as well.

I presume the main attraction with this nasty nylon sports stuff is that its cheap, has an elastic waistband and is drip dry.
Drinking tea from a pound shop. council

Is it PG tips, tetley, typhoo or some other
Abortion mascarading as tea?

Pound shops, are they council? Or is the 99p store the council?

Posting on PH when should be enjoying the delights of Penang. Is that council?party (unless a resident of said island).
Spent the whole day exploring Kek Lok Si , Penang Hill, and George Town . Sadly Kek Lok Si was full of British tourists (who were too plastered to Instagram ) and homeless Buddhist men chain smoking and cussing in Malay. Still beautiful though.

Might be bagging myself a Perodua Myvi for 8 hour marathons. Too cheapskate for an air ticket to KL . Council?
Brilliant. I have many fond memories of Penang from my merchant navy days. One of my shipmates married a Penang girl whom he met on a trip ashore,
I spent 6 weeks in Penang earlier this year. Stayed in George Town.

What a great place - a cross between Singapore (too controlled for my liking) and Bali (poorly organised and quite chaotic) where I live.

Considering buying an apartment there for weekends away. Nice long visa as well, being British.

Can't think of anything I'd like to do less than win a competition for sharing something on Facebook where the prize is a weeks rental of a sex pond, previously used by people from Rotherham.

I'm staying just north of Bayan Lepas at a new 5 star hotel.

The area must be the sttest in Penang, almost slum like, it really is unclean. I soon lightened up when I got to George Town for the first time, what a great, beautiful place.

If my the rental Myvi stter I will pick up soon ever gets nicked, luckily there are armed guards outside hehe

Is instant coffee council? I drink it all the time, along with sweetened, condensed milk (Nestle Carnation) when feeling extra cheap (but not very often) . I hate black, I only drink coffee with whole milk, little water, and 2.5 sugars.

As for the coffee itself , Nescafe instant medium intensity (in a glass jar from Asda)

Whenever I drink proper coffee, it is made in a cafetiere, with Lavazza Red Label and milk frothed with one of those machines you get for a tenner at Lidl.

Recently gone back to instant (but at least it's the lavazza good stuff) after our coffee machine thought it better to put the water on the kitchen work surface rather than in the cup.
Only lasted two years and was £25 off eBay
I drink PG tips mainly (from Home Bargains last time) so I am not that bothered.

Tattoos and even worse, the selection of clothes that allow the individual to display his/her body "art". How did these people remember the names of their offspring before they had them tattooed onto their calf/neck/arms?
Yes. A nice little wife beater vest to show off the tatts, or indeed a naked torso. They think cool, we think tool.

Of course it's the 99p shop, being a penny cheaper.

Is there a PH convention in Penang this week? I think we should be told.

Ah yes, the coffee machine.

I have a Tassimo but the drinks tasted like plastic so after 2 or 3 cups it has just gathered dust.

The word abortion being used in place of aberration.

I have to agree. I have one and I've had a few over the years but I admit they just are a bit council. I think the aggressive, relentless advertising and marketing is what does it

I can't agree.

Council would go for something much more bling. Breitling perhaps or more like a Casio Edifice.

heading back from the gym I cycled over to the off license to get something, i dismount near it. Family of perhaps 3-4+ kids and their parents all standing around it, taking up the whole pavement while they all eat ice lollies. approaching the door and one of the kids is blocking it and the mum then shouts 'tally get out of the way someone wants to get in' several times after finally saying 'tally move your fking arse here'.
I'm guessing tally is short for natalie? one for the silly kids names thread if it isn't. It's a good thing the shop owners allow me to prop my bike up inside the shop (infact they insist on it). wouldn't want their grubby hands all over it.

How about the A Bit Council thread with a People's Princess Diana Death Anniversary Commemorative Coin ?

I actually had to check it was an advert and not someone else posting it, by clicking on it.
While I was there I bought one for Teagean- Kye, Keanu-jaq and little man.
