A bit council (Vol 3)

Hah! I love how there's only about two which have pool tables you could actually have a game of pool on, without smacking the cues into the walls, furniture or other sh*t dotted around the place.
It's like the fruit and arcade machines - who's going to be using those in reality? Just a waste of space, but seemingly the mark of a "man cave".phazed said:
My thoughts after holidaying in deepest France and then spotting all the brits on the ferry! Tattoos, lager, noise, fat, plus unruly children.
My wife usually remarks under her breath, “welcome home”!
Just had this experience in Lanzarote - wow! The fat! The tattoos! (Obviously there's a place for the fat, tattooed laydeez, and that's sat on my head, but that's not the point). My wife usually remarks under her breath, “welcome home”!
It made me and Mrs DS really wonder - how on earth is the UK going to function outside the EU? We appear to be, mostly, a country of uneducated, unhealthy scrotes.

My garage may well be "my space" and a little place of sanctuary and man-stuff, and I am not adverse to the idea of a dedicated "mancave/games room" in the house, but some of these are very council indeed

I also chuckled at #3 where one badly thrown dart would have quite disastrous results.
I may have missed it but I don't think a single one had a card table?
I thought poker was still extremely popular at the moment? Surely the best man cave in Britain has a card table?

Probably a few less overall as I don't think council do longhaul except to Disney.
All-inclusive almost anywhere attracts them. When I went to Barbados every night seemed to be like Friday night at Wetherspoons.Probably 20% of the guests at the hotel that I stayed in fell into that category and judging by the airport on the way back, some of the hotels were much much worse.

I'm just back from Cancun. The Mrs said said she feels like Kate Moss must feel among normal people. They were huge with the added bonus of being both British and American council.

I spent a night in Cancun at the end of two weeks in Tulum and Playa Del Carmen. Probably a few less overall as I don't think council do longhaul except to Disney.
Cancun was horrific - huge high rise hotels, garish neon bars everywhere, overweight and overloud Americans, drunken Brits, and generally felt too much like Blackpool or Benidorm.

You went to Lanzarote - what did you expect? You were only ever going to see the worst of the worst there. It made me and Mrs DS really wonder - how on earth is the UK going to function outside the EU? We appear to be, mostly, a country of uneducated, unhealthy scrotes.
It'd be like me wandering through Albufeira and saying wow all Brits must be like this.

That's what I don't get about people holidaying in these places, wow you've been to Mexico, however you've stayed in an area that is like some chav seaside town in the UK, only the weather is a bit better, you haven't actually experienced Mexico at all, I just don't get it.

Had a fantastic holiday last year touring the Pyrenees in a motorhome. There was definitely no council there in fact, there was hardly anyone. As a plus, the roads on the Spanish side especially are to die for, bloody fantastic! I will be returning there in the TVR within the next couple of years.
