We will be starting a Just Giving page shortly. smile
Put a hi-vis vest on it!
Didn't have time - next door's bloody dog ran off with it!

Rather than taking a pic you should have got a chainsaw to get it moved, pah.

Translation - I looked at my app instead of a real forecast? Only showers around last few days, and showers can be hit or miss.
The MetOffice app tends to be pretty accurate for us, certainly more so than the BBC.
But this week they have over-egged it every day. Black cloud, two snowflakes, 90% of precipitation and we get barely anything. It's snowing now though. hehe

AFAIK the Met Office still supplies weather info to the BBC:

Yes, but my understanding is the BBC then interpret the information themselves.
If you look at the BBC forecast for an area and the Met Office forecast they are not necessarily the same.

I still watch the local BBC weather as the weather girl is in love with me, but I tend to use the Met Office for the actual forecast.

Is she any of these?

Incidentally, Rick - we had a snow shower at about 12.30 - it was like a blizzard with the biggest flakes I've ever seen, however it only lasted about ten minutes. Half an hour of something like that would've caused chaos.

Kinder Scout from Pym Chair today. I'm over to Holmfirth later, here's hoping the forecast is incorrect as usual.

Torak has been caught. According to the news report it now says they believe he was deliberately set free as his gate was open...

I was in Halifax around 11.30 this morning and we had that snow shower. We had a similar one last night too. The snow flakes were huge but like you say they only last 10 minutes or so. If it kept going we'd be up to our necks in it.

Yeah, looks like it could hit +15c in parts of the south next week. Insane temperatures for the middle of Winter.
2016 was similar, quite a few double digit C days.

Every year gets hotter and hotter...

This was January 1987 to the east of London. The chances of getting snowfall like this now is almost zero.

Look at 2011... plenty of chance of snow and very low temps. Only 6 years ago.

Village over from me. I was jolly surprised when it came on the R2 news this morning!
Here is the cheeky prankster:

Loads of schools on lockdown, yet the wolf apparently walked through a field of sheep at one point. He was coaxed back by staff from the sanctuary. He managed 8 miles!

I went to school not far from there. Delighted he's safely back.

I read he was also spotted around ten miles from home. Not a risk from what it seems, just out on a jolly bless him.

Back in my village trampampolines have been lost, the pub gazebo is no more and even one of the few signs has been uprooted. Not that you can get very lost here

Scotland's motorways are virtually at a stand still, with more snow forecast for next week.
