Is the going to be another one of the rain with a but of sleet or full on snow fall, I'm in south east Wales the Friday/sat snow didn't amount to much by me go up to Brecon had some good coverage is this going to bring more potential of snow compared too yesterday?

Fantastic, I have many happy memories of digging old ladies out in north yorkshire while they thrust tea at me thinking why the fk am doing this when they pay council tax.

Looking at that Met office map of yellow snow, looks like they reckon we will be taking the dog on some monster walks in the next few days.

How's things looking for Surrey? I got a 4-wheel drive estate 3 years ago and even during a recent trip to the Alps barely saw any snow on the roads... I'm itching to get out and see how it performs. Maps above seem to show Surrey on the margins of anything remotely interesting.

BBC weather and metoffie have downgraded sheffield/eastern peak district from heavy snow 0400-1700 to light snow 0900-1600. I await the inevitable disappointing 4 hours of miserable sleet and rain.

I'd love another blast of the snow we had here in 2009 and 2010

Why is there such a huge gap over central Scotland?
What snivelling pathetic weather front is that?!

Well, it's 2.30 in the morning and we have large dry flakes of snow coming down. Met Office were bang on with their time prediction here in Hereford.

woke to a covering of snow - wouldn't credit it with any depth other than enough to cover surfaces. According to BBC weather for the day we're due 'heavy snow' until lunchtime then light snow until evening, with, oddly, an hour of sleet just after 10am!

It is not actually snowing right now (5am on a sunday... yes I do have a screwed up sleep pattern!)

Faringdon, west Oxfordshire

At work for an 05:00 grit and absolutely nothing here (Hudds) with the forecast being all over the place. When I got up at 03:30 it was showing pretty much no snow with just a light shower at 13:00 for an hour but that's now changed to light snow from 09:00 through to 16:00.

05:30 north of you in Worcestershire, Hartlebury, bucketing down, if it carries on a few hours of this there will be some depth to it.

In one sense pleased because of decent snow, irritated due to being woken by sound of Oirish accented individuals scouting about, possibly up to no good, or maybe just out for an early walk in the snow, as if.
