Are you sure that's what you were looking at in the club book?

I wonder what the PlayStation generation would make of "Super Flight Deck"?

Yes, while the nitrogen triiodide was drying.

Yes, agreed. Once you'd set it up and landed it a couple of times so the flags rose up there wasn't much else to do.
It didn't quite live up to the hype of the advert or the images on the box rolleyes
Much like thousands of other toys though - hornby, scalextrix, subbuteo etc all stunningly jaw dropping on the TV, never quite the same in the real world smile

Hornby 00 trains with smoke... I had an 0-6-0 tank engine with it. Technically, it was steam, the engine was vaping.

I can't let this one pass. I must have spent a cumulative total of years playing with Scalextric, it was the toy of champions for me.

Oh and by the way: Spelling (this seems such a common mistake both spoken and written) and capital letters.

Point taken, I was rushing and Scalextrix looked right, despite it appearing on countless spelling tests many years ago rolleyes

Don't get me wrong, I loved my Scalextric but it never looked quite the same as the glitzy TV ads at the time.

Whereas our school motto was ‘learn to live’... which turned out very quickly to be ‘learn to bunk off at every possible opportunity’.

(Which I did)

We had, 'Palma non sine pulvere.'

Meaning? The palm of victory isn't won without the dust of battle.

If you say so.

I preferred, 'Omnes in faecibus sumus, sole profundis variat.'

Work it out...

Yes. You had to choose your newspaper VERY carefully.
