I am wondering how you would establish if a car has been used as Porsche experience car.

The car in question looks well and has a bit of warranty remaining, but given its age and miles, and location, I am suspicious of its history.....

How would I find this out, as I dont have access to the original V5c due to it having changed hands a couple of times

There are lots of ex PEC cars out there as they sell them all pretty much apart from the GT cars out through the dealerships via a bidding process where OPC's compete for them.

R at the beginning of the reg is the first thing to look for. On cars that usually have alcantara such as GTS models, it'll have a leather wheel and gear lever.

Quite a few of them are sold on with only a couple of thousand miles though so don't think that it's necessarily had a really hard life on the track. Porsches in the main are extremely robust and can take a lot of punishment so even if it is an ex experience car, it's not necessarily a abad thing.

Do you have a link to the car?

Hi If I remember correctly, all PEC cars are fully checked over and any worn/damaged parts are repaired or replaced. This will normally include paint damage due to stone chips etc.

Anything registered around Reading will begin with R, so I would not use that as guide.

The red GT3 at PEC will be going back to Germany to be dismantled, it was a pre-type approval car of German registration

They don't sell on their GT cars from the PEC. Only 'normal' stuff.

The yellow GT4 there is pre prod and they told me that they'll just keep it doing what it's doing. They have all sorts of older stuff there from 993's to 997 GT2 RS' plus a 4.0 etc etc. The warehouse is full of interesteing metal. The only cars they don't have are 996's, 918 and Carrera GT.

Not sure about a warehouse, these were in an open area between Stowe pits and Hanger Straight

Leather covered steering wheel is not a sign of a PEC car, my Lava RS has a leather wheel as after two previous alcantara ones I prefered the leather both in feel and for not flaking.
