Children call shadows "the man" all the time, it is them not understanding what a shadow is, my daughter did it a number of times until I clocked the shadow, I then made shadows and she agreed that was "the man"
You're "the man" hehe

There’s a room at work that utterly sts me up. It’s a small room with 4 doors leading other rooms one of which is the entrance. People that've worked late won’t go through it to leave the easy way so they lock the front door early and go out the long way round the back.
It just feels like you’re standing next to someone.
Is it four doors surrounding you?

Maybe it's a skewed, modern micro version of the open savannah, subconsciously reminding ourselves of our evolutionary past. Out in the open, you can see the predators coming at a distance but of course they see you too...

My son, who is 2 and a half is worrying me.

Each morning he wakes and I ask him did you sleep well.

Recently he has started answering 'no'

Prompted why this is the case he tells us 'the birds'

'they keep tweeting in my ears'

I don't assume we're being haunted by birds or he has some link to the paranormal. He's just a kid with an over active imagination.

On other occasions in our 4 bed new build he will occasionally drift off into a trance like condition staring at a spot in the room.... often when Peppa Pig is on TV.

On the other hand I did absolutely st myself when our neice stayed over and advised she could see a man laid on the floor of the bedroom. Of course there was nothing there, but it did put me on edge. Doesn't mean there are ghosts though, which appears on here to be the first thought when anything even remotely odd happens.

That door room could be some weird pressure caused by drafts meeting or something I’m sure I saw this on some daft tv show about physical things that made us subconsciously uneasy.
Yes, The reason a lot of tall buildings have revolving doors is not cos they are cool and fun, it is to deal with the pressure changes within the building with so many people coming and going. (not for ghosts as they can walk through walls and doors according to the "rentaghost" documentary I watched when I was young (with Mrs Popoff and Mr Claypole)

Years ago as kids, my younger sister started waking everyone in the early hours screaming about a lady sat on the end of her bed. She would've been about 7 I think, so I was about 13.

Absolutely terrified she was and normally took a while to calm her down. She ended up switching bedrooms with me so she slept great after that, muggins here was left cowering under my bed sheets for a week or so 'till I convinced myself there was nothing there!! (even though I knew it was rubbish I was only 13 and imagination can do weird things)

I do that too, while rocking backwards and forwards and muttering to myself about going to the pub.
