People obviously haven't read the thread title or original post.

The line is it all BS? Came after the occurrences in the house. Was what happened/what the OP detailed bullst?

If you said yes it's bullst fine. As you haven't experienced it (or similar) yourself so you don't believe it.

The "why aren't they wearing Nike and hoodies" and "where are the caveman" lines along with pixies/mental illness is daft.

What I experienced wasn't people walking round in Tudor clothing nor did I see someone in a bedsheet and chains. That's the media and places looking to up their footfall into their failing pub/venue/etc.
Well said there chap.
A good point well made clap

People who get cheap thrills out of being 'right' on the internet fascinate me more than ghosts I think.

Plenty of evidence that those exist in this thread.

Do you get to work on a Monday morning and discuss how many times you were 'right' on the internet over the weekend? Or maybe with the lads down the pub on a Friday night? – neither of which would care I imagine.

The irony is that its usually the ones that got bullied in school that end up becoming the bully behind the keyboard, sad really.

I'm definitely skeptic about this sort of thing but find it interesting to read about.
lol
you'll find this is a common discussion and is on pretty much every single 'general board' subforum of every active message board which has ever existed and within are similar arguments to those here.
get real.

Explain to me who I should vote as I definitely don't believe in any of the main three parties.

Im curious - for all these so called "haunted" houses that people live in - what actually comes first - "seeing" the ghost or being told a specific ghost exists?

Maybe there are wisps of entities from other dimensions or shadows from the past that repeat themselves or actual real ghosts that have went to the trouble of haunting a particular place for a particular reason, but i really cant help but feel the vast bulk of it is based on our fear of the dark combined with what we've been told is there combined with what our mind tells us its seeing.

We knew that this last owners wife had passed away in the kitchen. We didn't know that the first wife of the owner had too (some decades previous).

I've no issues with bodies. I have with the bio Hazzard side and avoided buying one house that had someone present for quite a while before they were discovered.

It was the sounds, noises and things moving. Disappearing and reappearing in the same places.

Genuine serious question - did you / have you ever attempted to record it? Lots of cheap webcams about that offer decent enough quality and record on to memory cards. They can run for days on end.

We set one up in our cloakroom to see where / how a mouse was getting in and let it run for a week. Then just skimmed through the recording.

Apart from one occurrence earlier this year it's not happened for quite a while now. If it spikes again definitely.

fruitcakes.

But I loved ghost stories as a kid, so keep them coming.

Wasn't there a thread from last year where someone kept asking the spook to blow on his elbow? Where is that person? Is he trapped in the TV?

Can we move on to ghost stories and child haunting update and Welsh radio gate... getting a little tiresome reading the circular argument.

Or else we are stuck in Deckler’s programming paradigm for thread eternity.

I think the Welsh radio should be replaced by a modern set with buttons preset to Welsh and a large (bilingual) sign saying "PRESS FOR RADIO WALES" then tune to R4 and see what happens.

I can offer forward a possible experience of a polterghost.

A few years ago I was sat on the toilet when a strange atmosphere entered the room and the hairs on my arm stood up.

Without warning the toilet roll started unwinding of its own accord.

Now, I don't fear the unknown as a rule. I've experienced interesting things, but that would properly freak me out!

Good stuff. hehe

Did you have a sense of foreboding?

Yes! Then i broke out in a cold sweat. There seemed to be some noises that i honestly cant explain but i can only describe as "inhuman". Then the strange atmosphere. It was like the room was thick with something. Like an evil presence. Followed by a great sense of relief when i left the room. Like a pressure had been lifted.

I can only describe it as like a sharp blast of wind passed through me.
