Thanks Shuvi! I'll plead in my defense that I am Australian so missed the British bobby sayings. Plus we are suffering smoke inhalation so brain function is reduced. wavey
I am sure there are plenty of (younger) brits that would also not know about or notice Letsby Avenue!

Hope the fire thing gets sorted, I understand that some environmentalists and fire fighters? Have been busted for starting some of them??
an Ozzie called up LBC t'other morning and lambasted the greens for preventing burn-backs which might have ameliorated the current situation
There was a post on FB from Environment East Gippsland proudly saying in all the horrible fires, some really good news - the Eden Sawmill burnt down. How fking low can you get?

What really boils people anger is the fires that are deliberately lit which account for about half of the fires that are started.

Since they have started, police have charged 180 people for starting fires. Now some are accidental. But when you have dick heads lighting their own back burns to protect a marijuana crop, brain dead wkers setting off fireworks, and grown men using grinders / welders, people are rightly incensed. Worst though is occasionally it's an actual firefighter who starts them. Lynch mobs are ready!

Apparently the Greens did no such thing...except in the Murdoch owned media frown ( sound familiar ? )

Burnbacks were done, but due to the extended drought were difficult to carry out safely

Was looking at my work route, putting markers on the places.

Noticed this, definitely made me snigger.
