It’s theft
Why would you be happy for others to pay so you don’t have to?

Just because you can doesn’t mean you should. Why not offer them £x pcm to share the usage rather than steal.

Are you also the type who is happy to “Stream Pay per view or movies” when they should be paid for? I’m guessing you are.

On a similar vein, I occasionally rename my WiFi. Currently, it's 'Mi5 Surveillance Van'

Really.
Since when is taking something without permission of those who are paying or offering to pay your fair share.

It’s no different to say leaving your car open with the keys in it then you pop in to do your shopping or commuting. Owner might be annoyed as his (bandwidth) ability to use the car for what he bought it for is reduced by not being present.

I’m guessing your deliberately being a bit trolls

A neighbour asked me a few years ago just after they moved in above me. I said yes and over the 4.5 years they were there, we became friends. Went drinking with them, invited to their wedding etc.

We even exchanged spare keys so we could water each others plants during holidays.

I wouldn't do it in my new flat as our neighbours here are pretty unfriendly.

I think it is unless his internet only serves one data packet every hour. Anyway, that's probably not theft either.

I can see why threads end up in big arguments on here
Oh and if your going to quote then actually QUOTE
You my friend make massive assumptions
I originally said "I'll be accused of racism but

Please don't do it
Just DO NOT take the risk. He may not be aware of what is ok to search for
I know I will get slagged for saying this but if his language is an issue then maybe his grasp of law is also an issue"

I stand by that Does that mean I assume he is a nonce - no does it mean he could be - YES does it also mean he could go looking for stuff that he shouldn't and could cause issue for the OP - Yes

Oh and you said "The problem all decent people have with your previous position "
YOU don't speak for all decent people you just think you do. The real world can be somewhat removed from the happy clappy way yours seems to be
I snipped your quote because it was very long. I quoted your post only to show it was you specifically to whom I was replying. I apologise if it caused offence.

I'm aware of what you said originally, it was that which caused me to engage in conversion with you. It isn't any less of a sly racial dig second time round.

Searching for legitimate porn is common and simple. Pornhub, Porntube, Redporn, Pornporn, Redtube etc. Searching for child porn takes a specific act. It can't reasonably be done in innocence. You can't be on Pornhub, searching for a particular, legal, fetish and simply stumble upon a three year old being molested.
If, therefore, someone is downloading child porn, it is reasonable to assume they do so knowingly and wilfully.
Your suggestion, that because this chap has what appears to be a non White British accent he is more likely to search for these things, is clearly racially motivated. You trust this neighbour less because you think his heritage is non-British. That, for the avoidance of doubt, is racist.

As to speaking for all decent people; a sensible definition of 'decent' would have to include the finding of racist remarks unpleasant and ill-founded. I am confident that, given a list of 100 people you and I would both agree were decent, all of them would recoil from racial slurs. I stand by my assertion on that basis.

Finally, as to standing by your assertion that he *could* be a nonce. Quite right, he could. He could be the world's 8th best underwater chess player. He could be the 2nd cousin twice removed from William G Stewart. He could be The Stig. None of those things have any basis in his race or ethnicity, and in that regard, they are identical to his proclivity towards child porn.

If he has any further contribution to make I suggest he does it by Pm

It's exactly because I can. They started it by firing unwanted radio signals into my home.. I'm just sending them back wink

It's one way of looking at it I suppose
Be a hoot if they found out in 20 years time wifi signals contributed to poor health. Not too sure it would be too good a defence today though.

Imagine if your using bandwidth of OaPs who have a restricted capacity yet you max it out\cost them more.

End of the day it’s really not a nice thing to do. Why get it free from paying people. Suggest you don’t go on like this else posts might be deleted.

But if he got a ban we might not now. His neighbours might just have rumbled him and blocked his mac addy.

I know that my gran in law to name one has broadband and it is capped as she doesn’t need big download capacity. She also only has a state pension.

If the poster above found her broadband without a password (as frankly she doesn’t know how to do it or understand it / only uses it all for Skype to talk to family round the world and see them) he would then cause her issues with Skype calling /maxed out download and it would then mean she might think to
Pay more for more data needlessly. But hey sod her as long as you get free internet - just because you can doesn’t make it right and it’s those who have the least and understand the least suffer.

Hopefully you posted in jest.

To be fair, he didn't make a racial slur, he pointed out people from different countries will have lived under different laws than we do. Millions of people around the world live under laws that allow them to have sex with pre pubescent children.

Enough Brits get caught out by indecency laws in middle eastern countries, either through ignorance or not taking the law seriously, so it is not inconceivable that it could happen the other way around.

I am not saying I agree with it but I can see where f50 is coming from.

It's a very close line to racism / racial stereotyping to infer that a non-white foreigner be more likely to download porn.

Just to add some balance, my head of house was a convicted Paedophile. (Mr Neil at Kennet School if you must know).
And also, the father of a childhood friend also turned out to be a paedophile.
Both were white british men.
