Following the previous 'conversation' about black Oxfords and toecaps, and being in C&J, I would have expected you to have gone for the Wembley
In any case, enjoy the ride in the ambulance when the time comes
I chose the shoes above in part because they share a name with a woman I once dated and who I have fond memories of. I thought it was mildly amusing. In any case, enjoy the ride in the ambulance when the time comes

Nice looking and lovely to slip into, but every now and then threatens to cause you harm ... yeah, I know girls like that. So said:
I wanted some better quality oxfords but as usual did nothing about it until I actually needed them.
I walked into Crockett and Jones and bought these. As usual with C&J the quality was variable and I had to try a couple of pairs to find decent ones. But this pair seems ok.
As it’s summer I went for leather soles and nearly fell on my arse in the first cab I climbed into. I know as soon as it rains I will fall and break a hip.

At first there’s the stiff and unforgiving stage, but after a bit of attention with the tongue and rubbing with the right lubricant she will become compliant and you can slip in easily. /Swiss Toni

The most melodramatic post on this thread in months. Well done. You can be so cruel sometimes Stephen.

I didn’t buy rubber soles because I thought YOU wouldn’t approve. So I buy leather to try and please you and when I raise my concerns about safety you call me melodramatic.

I explained all this last night though didn't I? Nobody is going to think any worse of you for just accepting that leather isn't for you. You can be so cruel sometimes Stephen.
You go with the safety and security that rubber provides and leave the proper option for us real men.

I'm looking for some Chelsea boots.
Here is the spec.
Black
Size 13
Slip on (elastic gusset)
Quite pointed but with a small square tip
Slim looking but for quite a wide foot!
I usually go with Loake but there's appear a bit too staid for me.
These would be spot on if they fitted but they don't go to 13

Budget is £200 any suggestions appreciated.
