All nice, though the brogues leave me a little cold. The burgundy ones are very good.

I was in two minds and with a special trip and outlets there's a bit of "do I don't I?" and for what they cost and the fact I know I'll wear them I'm OK with it.

Put it this way I saved £800 on retail of those three pairs which is slightly terrifying.

I've only been to Northampton outlet stores once - Trickers. They didn't have anything I wanted, so they gave me a massive discount off a retail pair!

I was just chatting to an acquaintance of yours in Cad & the Dandy.
I mentioned what I nice job you'd done, he asked your screen name and...

He gets a pretty good shine on a pair of shoes too smile

Kelv, top show shining skills there. I presume the mirror gloss wax gives an extra layer of protection over and above the cream polish.

Is the darker toe on the monk straps owing to the natural colouring of the leather or something (intentional) that has resulted from the colour of polish used?

Intentional use of darker wax on the toes I imagine.

I had the exact same shoes and the colour was uniform when new.

Does anyone have any Solovair boots/shoes?

I've been thinking of getting some Dr Martens and I always thought of Solovair as the cheaper knock-off version, but they seem more expensive. Are they of a higher quality than DMs?

From what I've read they are the easily the equal of DM's, made in England too; interesting history behind them as well.
