I was just chatting to an acquaintance of yours in Cad & the Dandy.
I mentioned what I nice job you'd done, he asked your screen name and...
He gets a pretty good shine on a pair of shoes too
Ha thanks! How did you know I knew the chaps at C&D? They do a fantastic patina job too. Something I would probably want to try out. I mentioned what I nice job you'd done, he asked your screen name and...

Kelv, top show shining skills there. I presume the mirror gloss wax gives an extra layer of protection over and above the cream polish.
Is the darker toe on the monk straps owing to the natural colouring of the leather or something (intentional) that has resulted from the colour of polish used?
Thank you, it does protect a little but the shinier it is, the easier it gets scuffed haha. Had to be so careful in public places. Is the darker toe on the monk straps owing to the natural colouring of the leather or something (intentional) that has resulted from the colour of polish used?
I did use a small amount of dark brown and sometimes black wax on the toe cap. I don't like my shoes to be too uniform in colour. It just adds a bit more visual interest.

It was likely the bloke known as 'PJ' from The Jaunty Flaneur?
He already had photos of your shoes (above) on his phone/forum
The other chap Tom, I have spoken to a couple of time at Charles Tyrwhitt and bumped into at Fox's (cigars) and at C&tD.

Ah, yes it is PJ and Tom. Good chaps. I picked up a few tips from PJ whilst I was there. I do try to drop by occasionally but usually get distracted at Jermyn Street instead. It was likely the bloke known as 'PJ' from The Jaunty Flaneur?
