When the 2019 thread kicks off, I'm having Prince Phil. Although I think he's died already, and they'll announce it the same day as they announce a second Brexit referendum.
It's been up for a couple of weeks ,and Phil I think has been bagged already. Not literally BTW.

Good innings and an amazing actress who could take on a variety of roles.
Will be sadly missed.
I was watching an old Carry On film the other day, and it occurred to me that she had done just as much for British cinema and stage as any fancy RSC performer. I thought "why isn't she a Dame?" and then found out she was. Good for her. By all accounts a lovely lady, great fun, self-deprecating (which I always like) and a credit to her profession. Will be sadly missed.
RIP June.

Thats such a shame. People may scoff at TV programmes such as Terry and June but I would rather have grown up watching TV like that than what generally passes for entertainment now.
Does anybody remember the series the preceded "Terry and June" called "Happy Ever After" - which to my mind was a better series?A name which may not be that well known except to aviation buffs of a certain age - Darryl Greenamyer aged 82. Greenmayer was a former test pilot who eventually captured the World Air Speed Record for piston engined aircraft in 1969. He flew a specially modified Grumman Bearcat called "Conquest 1".
The record had stood for 30 years, the previous record having been set by a Messerschmitt 209 in 1939.
He tried various other record attempts and projects into the 70s and 80s, not all of them successful. His most ambitious involved using a specially converted F-104 Starfighter which unfortunately he had to eject from before he got a chance to go for the records he was chasing -

Quite a good summary here for some 'names' who've pegged it this year.
