There's a cuckoo living in a tree in the garden and it's continually telling the wrong time.
Have you tried re-homing it in a little wooden house with a clock on it and a window upstairs that opens at the right times?

The button bar that has become ridiculously large at the bottom of this mobile site; and the fact that using the desktop site results in ridiculously small text. I'm on a phone with an 18:9 screen so God knows how someone with say an iPhone 5 manages...

Toddlers sucking dummies. In fact, any child sucking a dummy. We managed to bring up two kids without owning, let alone using, a dummy tit!

After the GDPR, obviously every website became massively irritating for a short period. What's pissing me off now is the websites I use frequently, therefore went out of my way to opt out of everything, keep fking asking me to accept their T&Cs. I've done that you tts. I do it every week. I know you're only asking because I opted out of everything and it's like you're the sad kid who wants to kiss a girl and is just sitting next to her on the sofa at a party, pitifully saying "Go on, please? Please? Pretty please". fking fk off you frothing data-hungry tts. You obviously based your business model around farming consumers for data and no we're saying no, you're pissing your pants on the shortfall.

Ha! We're not the only couple who managed to bring up two kids without resorting to those hateful "comforters" then? Good. Genuinely, good for you. Absolutely horrid things, especially for older toddlers, designed to shut kids up at the point in their lives when they're beginning to ask questions and are most receptive to taking in information. Often accompanied by one or both parents ignoring the child and concentrating on their blasted "smart" phone.

I swear it's the "dummy kids" who grow up into those giant adult babies who "vape". No matter how much you paid for it, nor how "blingy" your e-cigarette thing is, you cannot EVER look 'cool' vaping. You just look pathetic. Like a giant adult baby sucking on it's "comforter".

And the very suggestion that "vaping products" ought to be available on NHS prescription. WT actual F? If you can afford to smoke, you can afford your own effing "vaping products". Can I get Cherry Pepsi Max on prescription now, too? Probably not, but it's less harmful than either the alternative alcoholic drink, or the 'regular' Pepsi with sugar in it. So presumably the benefits to my health will outweigh the cost to the NHS, so it stands to reason that I should get it for free?

Thought not.

Effing "vapers" whining on about how their vapour is "harmless" and therefore they should be allowed to "vape" indoors. No. Never. Eff off outside and "vape" next to the dirty smokers, you disgusting adult babies, you.

Annoying me beyond reason currently is the "if it saves just one life" mob supporting the introduction of new "dangerous cycling" legislation. While at the same time 79,000 people per year die from smoking-related illnesses. If we're going to clamp down on a generally healthy hobby which has killed fewer people per year than I can count on the fingers of one hand, then why the blue blazes aren't we totally banning tobacco smoking in any form from this country? After all, "if it saves just one life", right?

Because then you lose control of it completely. Look at all the drugs that are banned here, it is literally easier to get coke in London than Medellin (OK in the interests of fairness, there isn't a huge market for it in Colombia). Even in the US where drug dealers are punished harshly it's everywhere, just about every doorman in LA or Vegas knows where to get a few lines of coke.

Banning never solves anything as it just drives it underground. People will still smoke, they'll just get their fags from Dodgy Dave out of the back of his van. If it's legal you can tax it, you can institute rules to control distribution and you implement quality controls to prevent dangerous versions of the product.

I suspect there is already a trade in cheap smokes out of parts of Europe, I cant imagine how the chain smokers at the local car wash can afford to pay UK prices for the amount they smoke.

BTW, I'm an ex-smoker. 17 years since I kicked the habit which was first driven by the fact the Aussie govt put the tax up.

Smokers pay-in lots and die young. Perfect citizens, really, if they weren't so smelly.

Which is why they should legalise cannabis. The war on drugs is lost, so rather than spending money on policing the prohibition, they should be taxing it and making money.

Trying to formulate a reply to a potential ebay customer that tells him he's showing indications of being a scammer but without scaring him off if he's genuine

He has been asking basic questions about the product on a daily basis for over two weeks now but appears no nearer to actually placing an order
Has 'account issues' with Paypal so wants someone else to pay but me to send the item to a different address than that registered to his 'friends' Paypal account
Wanted me to mark down the price of the item on the customs to avoid Brazilian import tariffs
Wants me to phone him in Brazil at a number he has supplied 'to discuss' the purchase

So far I've kept my cool e.g. pointing out I won't mark down item value for customs as it then wouldn't be insured for loss or damage in transit, and told him I will only ship to the verified address of whoever pays for it...but I'm starting to lose patience with him

DAB radio in the car. What an utterly useless system. Fade in, fade out...silence...then blasts out making me jump.

I'm sure the system worked well in the lab or a mile from a ten billion megawatt transmitter but on the real world I gave up and went back to analogue.

Inconsistent User Interfaces.

Mostly seen in PC games. I'm re-playing Prey at the moment, and on some menus you press ESC to back out, others BackSpace, others right-mouse. And on the ones that don't use ESC, then ESC brings up the game menu (Save, Load, Quit. etc.)

But it uses the DVLA systems as its backend database - so if they are down then the police can't check owner address etc wink

I live out in the sticks up here in Scotland and have no issues with DAB reception in the car at all, which surprised me if I"m totally honest.

I live in the sticks and my reception, (contrary to what I expected), is fine too.
