Audi sweeping indicators.
I'd swear blind Audi drivers are now deliberately changing lanes more often just to show them off.
I'm not impressed. Don't bother.
Not just Audi... most of the rest of the VAG group cars are doing it now (VW especially), and other manufacturers are following suit. I'd swear blind Audi drivers are now deliberately changing lanes more often just to show them off.
I'm not impressed. Don't bother.
I must confess that I'm starting to get used to them now and they annoy me a little less than they once did. I still think they look wky though.

People who say 'VAG group'. Similar to 'PIN number' in irritation.
VAG stands for "Volkswagen AG", not "Volkswagen Audi Group". "AG" is a designation for a specific type of business in Germany, like GmbH.droopsnoot said:

People who think "VAG" stands for "Volkswagen Audi Group" annoy me beyond reason.

Speaking of VAG, we found these in France this summer. Always nice to have a hint of minty freshness when you’re travelling in hot countries...
Before they rebranded their product to VCDS, the diagnostic tool from Rosstech for VAG group cars was called "VAG-COM". It was very difficult to remember to pronounce it with a hard G rather than a soft G.

VAG IS the Volkswagen Audi Group, regardless of how technically accurate the definition of the acronym is.People who think "VAG" stands for "Volkswagen Audi Group" annoy me beyond reason.
My turn,
People who don't know how to use quotation marks correctly annoy me beyond reason.

No it isn't! Just because you say it is, doesn't make it so. You could say this site is called PistonPopeyeRocks but it doesn't make it so. It's called PistonHeads - it says so at the top of the page.Likewise, VAG is Volkswagen AG. That's what it is registered as with the German equivalent of Companies House. This is not a matter of opinion, but a matter of fact.
Just admit you were incorrect / mislead and move on.

I suppose they must comply with whatever requirements there are for indicators, but I don't see how. There isn't a definite on/off.
I misunderstood that at first, I thought that you meant no way to turn them off, but you presumably meant no blink on/off.I see what you mean, but if I came up behind an Audi using them, I think within one second, I’d “get” the driver’s intention to move left or right.

Indeed, but flipping Germans; surely you'd expect them to be consistent at least ? Given the capitalisation in GmbH, surely it should just be VA - or at a pinch, VwAg ?Clockwork Cupcake said:
