Hmmmm?
Not a bad idea, in theory. But "dropping someone off" would mean illegally carrying a passenger on a bicycle not designed, constructed, or adapted for the carriage of passengers.
As it happens, I'm back there this afternoon for a physio appointment. I'll be parking in a P&D car park half a mile away that allows 2 hours of free parking (push green button for free ticket) and walking the rest of the way to avoid the insanity that is car parking on-site.
You can't expect people to accept that "free parking" also includes a walk, can you? Surely that's just crazy! It isn't "free" if you have to work for it LOLNot a bad idea, in theory. Running a bit late (I was getting into the shower 30 minutes before my appointment time), I drove sensibly all the way there, but wouldn't have had time to fight through the Muppets in the hospital car park, so I popped the car into a different, slightly closer "Parking Free 1 Hour, No return within 1 hour" car park that was only about ⅓ full. It cost me a 1,144 yard walk, and saved me £3.40 (and, as a Brucie Bonus, it also saved me from having to fight my way out of the on-site car park when I left)...
...oh, and I know it's "Veni, vidi, vici", but it is the "annoy you" thread, after all...

Recruiting is such a demeaning term.
I prefer 'grooming'
This place is going to the dogs. I prefer 'grooming'
I've warned you lot before: the puns thread is over there --->
I don't want to bh, but this inappropriate fragrant punning behaviour is starting to annoy me beyond reason!
When you are on a training course and the other people on the course range from complete "never seen one before" novices to "I'll need about ten minutes of this two week course" old hands.
It was annoying when I was the former, and guess what - it's even more annoying now I am the latter.
I know I should have empathy for the newbies, but this isn't the thread for it.

Even more annoying when you're the newb, and the 'Old Hands' are getting all the attention from the tutors whilst you struggle for hours doing the simple stuff. It was annoying when I was the former, and guess what - it's even more annoying now I am the latter.

Prepared meals that say "Serves 2" on the packet, but the only way they could conceivably serve two is if you added a load of vegetables and potatoes, and weren't really into meat at all.
I'm just cooking a Sainsbury's Texas-style Brisket and frankly I've had bigger steaks. How that is supposed to "serve two" is entirely beyond me.

Yup. I had a steak & ale pie last night that was meant to serve 4, but was "only just enough" when split three ways. And then there was the mountain of vegetables needed to help the meaty element along.I'm just cooking a Sainsbury's Texas-style Brisket and frankly I've had bigger steaks. I served it with a generous portion of buttery mashed (Maris Piper) potato, a large carrot each (pan was very full), a pan of green beans (and half a leek for me) with about a ¼ pint of gravy each. Mopped up, in my case, with a thick slice of wholemeal bread.
Gonna do burgers tonight, four burgers between three, and a side of salad. No need for a big meal two nights running...
Black Friday.
An American import being stuffed down our throats. And it's not even just a Friday now... it's weeks beforehand in the pre-Black Friday sales, and then Cyber Monday too,
I'm not averse to sales - always happy to get stuff cheaper - but it's the frenzy of it and the hype.

Today's NewsThump sums it up pretty well:
"Black Friday is the first Friday after Thanksgiving; a traditional American festival where families give thanks for everything they have and then follow it up by brawling over cheap TVs."
