No, he has encountered a Timid Tommy lawbreaking cyclist who is in breach of the law and ought to be stopped and issued with a fine by a fine upstanding member of the local constabulary. Adults who habitually cycle on footways need to grow a set and take their proper place in the carriageway, just as the law requires of them.
Yes, get down there quickly with your clipboard and attitude and tell him how inconsiderate he is for being polite and harming no one.

ebay's 'similar items' algorithm...

e.g.

Obviously based on a single keyword, rather than what the fking item actually is frown

The idiots who allowed industrial units to be built here, South of Fields Road, alongside the A421
https://www.google.com/maps/dir///@52.0904852,-0.5...

Page 3 of this document illustrates the problem perfectly.
https://uk.goodman.com/-/media/Files/Sites/UK-Logi...

a "new" A421 was constructed to alleviate the old A421/ Woburn Road which still exists and runs parallel.
This new development will not have direct access to the new road. Instead all traffic to and from the development will go along Fields Road, over the new road to join the old road, then head East along Woburn Road to the A428 intersection.

Will traffic heading to the M1 J13 bother heading East for a couple of miles before doubling back on the A421.
Will it hell.
They'll head West and go along the old road, making traffic along there as bad as it was before the new road was even built

And yet if the same cyclist turned left when a red light was against him, and harmed no-one, he'd be vilified and there would be demands for enforcement action. You cannot cherry-pick which laws you feel should apply to you (although hypocritical drivers do so on a daily basis). In many cases where a cyclist ignores a red traffic signal, they do so carefully and harm no-one, yet no driver ever said "let it be, he's doing no-one any harm". Nope, the dash-cam footage goes on Youtube, usually with an accompanying count of how many cyclists went through on red (and carefully edited to ensure that no drivers who ignored red lights or gambled on amber are featured). I'm not saying running a red while riding a bike is right, either, and it isn't something I do myself. I'm simply pointing out that if YOU are picking and choosing which rules and laws need to be obeyed and which can be bent or broken, then don't be surprised when someone else makes a list of their own but makes some alternative choices about which laws can be ignored...

Adults cycling on pavements, alongside fairly quiet country roads, are annoying me at the moment. I keep encountering one as I'm on the way to the pub, fortunately in a fairly wide section of pavement. He slows down, gets to the edge of the pavement, waits until I've passed, then carries on. What he doesn't do is what he should do - which is cycle on the road.
You've encountered a polite cyclist who is being considerate of both motorists and pedestrians... and that annoys you beyond reason... o.0

What about children, does the law distinguish between adult and child cyclists? Should children be slapped with a fine too?

When I come into power the first thing I’ll do will be to outlaw people checking their phones whilst on the stairs.

Punishable by death.
Why do they do this? What is so important that can't wait the 30 seconds it takes to walk down the stairs? In fact the death penalty is too lenient.

There appear to be two VERY closely matched sizes of of rectangular takeaway container that dont Q UITE fit one another despite my best efforts.
I only seem to have lids from one size and bases from the other. GRRRRRRRR.

All these fking 'millennials' going on holiday/travelling every other week. They complain about not being able to afford to buy a house, especially in London, yet they are constantly fking off on holiday or living in so-called trendy areas in London such as Clapham. They just need to get their finger out, stop moaning, and start fking saving! I should know, I'm a 'millennial' and did exactly that!
I know the poorer sort, from decent backgrounds who live expensive but grotty (trendy) areas where they bemoan the evils of Capitalism behind their expensive rent, rendering them unable to buy a property, while spending the rest of their income on coke and Deliveroo.

“Just put the kettle on”

We have someone at work who does this, fills the kettle, puts it on and 5 min later announce “I’ve just put the kettle on”
Do they collect and wash the mugs and actually do the drink as well?? Do they F**k! furiousfurious
The water in our office is on a meter and is odd in that if it is re-boiled it tases really ‘chemically’ so when you DO go to make a drink, you have to re-fill and re-boil the kettle!
So by filling the kettle and boiling it, they are wasting time, water and the energy required to boil the water. ragerage

People who don't charge their phones before heading out for the day, have a serial cable borrower at work that needs a charge before it's even midday.

Luckily they have an iphone whilst I have an android C charger so they don't pester myself, a cable costs a few pounds so I don't know why they don't buy one and leave it in their locker rather than ponce cables of others.

I am this person.

It's a knock-on effect from my girlfriend having an inexplicable rule about only one phone charger being in the bedroom that we have to share. It's easier to just charge it at work than stage a rebellion.

Anyone who likes a bagel, especially a salt beef one, would be advised to go to beigel bake in Brick Lane, London. The finest and most authentic salt beef bagel known to man

Beigel Bake suuuuuucks! :P

It's all about Beigel Shop. Eat there at least once a week.

(To the uninitiated, they're literally two doors apart. Locals tend to go to the yellow one, tourists to the white)

Any chance of a photo of the two shop fronts in one shot?
Here you go... ironically the one I don't go to on the left appears closed down now! I always rated the one on the right better and feel exonerated

Just get a spare one to keep at home

(girlfriend that is... they are actually cheaper than Apple branded chargers)
