Erm...Jimmy Savile
Douglas Adams (RIP, very friendly if a little eccentric)
Clive James (bit grumpy)
Michael Howard (odd)
Michael Portillo (met after politics, very nice guy, witty)
From F1:
Senna (Legend. Talked me through a lap)
Schumacher (very friendly and personable, gave me a donation towards a charity)
Damon Hill (cold, unfriendly)
Coulthard (funny)
Nico Rosberg (very personable, funny in at least 2 languages which is more than me)
Murray Walker (legend, great stories, utterly down to earth)
Justin Wilson (was a very, very nice guy, met him in the early days of his career. RIP)

I've met a few, but the two that stood out were:
Helena Bonham Carter - 1991, she was staring in a play in Nottingham and after seeing it I bought her flowers the next evening. She bought me a beer and we had a good chat before she gave me a polite kiss on the lips and told me she wasn't the person I thought she was. Thing was, I had no idea who she was or that she was actually very famous, I just fancied her!
Quentin Tarantino - A couple of years or so later. I had a bar in Nottingham (interesting fact - the global premier of Reservoir Dogs was in Nottingham) and he was back a couple of years later, before Pulp Fiction was finished. Basically he was staying at the hotel next to my bar and came in late one night. We had a lock-in until about 5:00am the next morning, got completely wasted talking about movies and his plans for Pulp Fiction. Incredible night!
