Apple fwits - icloud
Discussion
So, i have an older ipad with ios 7.
I am in a hotel.
Switch ipad on to connect to internet.
Popup - enter icloud password
Won’t work as not connected to internet
Can’t connect to internet because of pop up pops up every srcond
How did this company get so big?
Don’t they test anything?
And of course, i can’t turn icloud off.

Nothing to do with the competition, Apple customers need to be more vocal when the company does things they don't like i.e cause and effect. As the money keeps rolling in they're never going to change are they.
Not exactly Apples fault per se... the op is using an iOS released in 2013. 4 full versions ago. They probably did fix the issue, but if people don’t patch...Vaud said:

I had one setup already and it eventually connected to it.
Apple get away with murder as the competition is awful.
Well to be fair your os is a little dated... not sure it would occur in the more releases? Do you expec every os to be supported in perpetuity? Apple get away with murder as the competition is awful.
Microsoft supports operating systems for much longer, that are far more complicated.
Apple charge a fortune for their products.
So yes, i expect them not to make changes without doing a little bit of testing.
I don’t expect them to make changes all of a sudden to icloud that make ipads unusable without i ternet access.

Not exactly a lifetime ago.
A 200 quid washing machine is better supported.
I could of course update to ios 8 and see tne ipad become al ost unusable performance wise.
As i said, microsoft support operating systems far more complex.
Ipads are as expensive as good pcs.
