My wife has made a few appearances on that thread, for the odd funny comment, like yesterday and me going to the Caramel Cup Final, but I agree that some of the things that some people's wife's come out with is staggering. I just would have never got together with a woman who thought that the sun went out at night, or that Australia was in Europe, or a stick insect is the result of an insect having sex with a stick. I don't care how hot she was.
Australia is in Eurovision so I see her point laugh

There was one who thought the moon was the sun at night. Pretty mind-boggling.

I still think Olivia Coleman isn't a national treasure and her Oscar speech was slightly embarrassing

But you said she was just another jobbing actress. She clearly isn't. We can all have opinions, but I think there's actual evidence that disproves your theory.

I'm vegan intolerant.

They're selfish and entitled. How much of a prick does one have to be to choose not to eat certain types of perfectly edible food when there people starving in the world.
My brother would be the exception. He's vegan and he's always taking the piss out of the crap he cooks and eats. Chick pea ice cream, tofu and soya bean omelette without the eggs. He admits it's utterly disgusting and says he wouldn't wish it on a dog.

But the up sides, he's the only slim guy in the family, he runs marathons in well under 4 hours, he looks 10 years younger than his age, and he feels good about the fact that he isn't in anyway contributing to animal suffering.

As for starving people, 200 people can be fed with 1 cow, but 20,000 people can be fed with what a cow is fed to get them to that position.

I had to take a look at Olivia's Oscar acceptance speech.

Blowing a raspberry at whoever was telling her to wind it up was funny.

I don't have an opinion on her ability as an actor, seems ok to me.

Perhaps Shakira lied about the hips.

You're not a vegan if you eat or use anything with palm oil in it.

I fear those figures might be slightly exaggerated.

My brother! rofl

Actually, it was a couple of years ago, something on Radio 4 from memory, about the future of feeding the planet.

(I know, I know the dehabitation etc... Poor orangs. As an aside an you imagine what a combine harvester does to the species who inhabit wheat fields. It's funny how humans falsley rank animal species in importance)

Cows mostly eat grass. The 200 people would be in rude health. The 20,000 vegans are going to be pretty severely malnourished.

In my unpopular-with-some opinion, Vegans are encouraged to believe a pack of lies about food, nutrition, and the environment to keep them eating cheap crap that is bad for their health.

Sir, this is the unpopular opinions thread. Please take that logic and reason someplace else.

Compared to most Colombianas, Shakira is a 5. Sophia Vegara is a 3.

And I'm not saying either is ugly or unattractive.

Shakira was also better when she was a brunette and sang Spanish rock.
