Farage one day, sadly, will become PM. It seems far fetched, but it happened in the USA with Trump.
Fingers crossed eh, at least now we have a chance of a proper leaver PM. In the meantime we may have to make do with Boris smile. If they instil another remainer PM and try another soft Brexit con then the Tories are finished.

The camp accent is affected, and I don't know why.

Not an unpopular opinion, I'd say camp is an affectation by definition.

I asked a guy that I used to work with (was openly gay) about the whole camp thing. His response was:

I don’t get it either, I’m gay cos I like to fk men, not men who turn up their inner woman

After all the recent news about the final episode of 'Game of Thrones' finishing etc, thie wife and I thought we'd start the first series to see what all the fuss has been about over recent years.

Given it's popularity I'd say the following opinion will be unpopular....

It's absolutely fking st. Everything about it is just absolute dogst.

I'd rather watch someone keying my car than watch another episode of that drivel.

Not a fan of tits and dwarves then?

The tits were OK, though no better than others I've seen elsewhere, and the dwarf was the one character I liked, other than that I agree with Lord Trumpton. Maybe if I'd come to it without expectations instead of after hearing the hype I'd have thought differently but I doubt it.

How much did you watch? I used to feel the same, until I went back and watched it properly from the start (I originally dropped in about S4 I think). It wasn't until about S1E4 that I actually got it, and realised that it really is as good as everyone had said. Took me that long to figure out who all the characters were.

I get it's not for everyone, no idea how people raved about it from day 1.

I suppose it takes time to get into something. I guess its a bit like when you mistakenly turn on eastenders or coronation street, you realise just how rubbish it is.

This massively boils my piss ... the while point of a pilot episode is to get buy in and intrigue from episode 1 - not have a slow burn requiring viewers to commit to 4-5hrs just to deem if it is indeed good or not

Could not agree with you more. I am not willing to be bored for hours to learn about some fictional program. Complete waste of time. It's supposed to be entertainment not work! If something doesn't grab me straight away then I won't waste any time on it.

That people who post on social media (facebook particularly) about their "struggles" with mental issues or often just looking for attention or to be a "me tooer"

Agree; my cousins insufferable wife suffers from mental health issues, it's plastered all over her Instagram; usually a (staged and heavily filtered and altered) photo of her staring into the distance with a description of her problems underneath with many hashtags about struggles, dark thoughts or similar, with the usual comments from her "friends"; "u OK hun #fighter", "u r so beautiful #facethefight", or some other crap.

Whilst on the Facebook theme I honestly, truly and genuinely cannot for the life of me see why folk post up their deepest darkest secrets, emotions and pouting pics. It just smacks of desperation and attention seeking.

I think it just appeals to a certain type imo.

I think some people who post are perhaps not aware of how it can affect them.
A friend of ours is a large employer in the North west. He will actively look to see if a job applicant has social media and what they post.

Those and 'self improving' type slogans and messages. All ballcocks IMO.

My lord

You’ve said you honestly, truly and genuinely can’t see why folk post their emotions.

Yet in the next sentence you say exactly WHY they they post up their emotions!

You’ve answered your own questions

Partially true...on here we have the blanket of anonymity whereas Facebook displays the lot for the world to see including (as mentioned by another poster) employers and In a lot of cases their bloody children too.
