Not sure if it has been mentioned yet, but short guys can have any car they like. (You can always add a booster cushion or something. wink)
Short men might feel a bit unlucky, but tall petrolheads are tortured.
Theoretically yes, but at 5’8” and 15.5+ stone (used to be a power lifter and body builder), I find most sports car seats far too narrow (and too close to the sides).
Can’t get my upper back between the bolsters and my right shoulder is against the door. (A bit like normal sized people in a LR Defender).
I can squeeze into my SLK (yes, I know, gay man and all that…) but a friend saw me driving with the roof down and said I “looked like a puppy sat in a shoe box”.
I give up.

How tall are we talking?

At 6' 3" I never had any trouble in most of those? Peter Wheeler was a giant so all TVRs seemed to have plenty of room. Evora seemed to have plenty of room. Even the Caterham can be sorted if you get an SV.
At 6' 7" I can't get my knees under the dash of a Tuscan, and I can see over the top of the windscreen with the roof off. And so ended that dream.

Shame. Obviously depends on your proportions but fairly sure Wheeler was 6'6" so every TVR I have driven (most of the range) has been surprisingly spacious for a sports car.

im 6.3, 6.4 in my heels, but am a bit of a pussy probably, not that anyone's ever started on me or i've been in a fight situation, or one where i needed to intervene or anything.

It is often the case that the little guy is tough as nails, but thats a symptom of his height many short blokes have that chip on there shoulder about it and compensate by being muscle men or hard or just general cocks attitude wise. That said, there are many more who aren't - You get wkers in all heights.

Re. women on tinder its usually the giant ones themselves as they feel self conscious.

Personally i'm not attracted to really short woman is as the height differential is just too silly. (in attracted i mean having a serious relationship)

My mate is getting married to a girl who is technically a midget. Hes 5.8/9 id say, shes the max official height you can be to be classed as midget or dwarf (assume midget as shes in proportion) 4ft something i think. Different strokes...but he is a primary school teacher too so it could be considered creepy!

Anyway being short can be lucrative, we hired a midget in Vegas for may m8s stag a couple of years ago and took him to a pool party. It cost $125 for each of us (there were 6 of us) and that got us 3 hours with it. It came to a pool party with us, so got free entry to that, used our prime poolside day bed, and drank fair chunk of our booze tab, and got to hang out with us which was priceless. its not all bad...

edit. not

The car thing is a problem if you're tall and broad shouldered, not necessarily just tall. I suspect being average height or below and very broad brings the same issues.

I find 911s uncomfortable, for instance (despite the saleswoman telling me that because their dealer principal was tall and loved them, I should) as my right shoulder and arm are pressed against the door panels.

I couldn't even get into any Lamborghini when I tried.

Define broad shoulders?

My shoulders are 19" wide blade to blade (not including the squshy bits), this means I cannot sit in an ordinary airline seat without the window recess (so if you've got broad shoulders, avoid the 787... or even if you don't, it's still a horrible aircraft) but yet to find a sports car I cant fit in.

I am 6'1 and the wife is 4'11, short jokes are endless and one day she'll snap and bury me under the patio, until that day comes her life will be full of skirting board ladder references, swinging her legs when sitting on curb jokes and other tedious things I think of to mock her lack of vertical stature smile

On the dating front I'd say it's more advantageous to be average/slightly below average height and above average looks than tall with average looks.

Being short also helps in the gym where after a month you look stacked whereas tall guys have to actually get big to look the same build.

Heightism?

Suffered with it all my life.

Joined the army, all the physical tests are based on weight and/or distance. No one "lowered the bar" for me when I had to do pull-ups. No one ever said "you weigh less than the other chaps - so only fair for you to carry proportionally less weight in your rucksack". No one said "it doesn't seem fair for you short-legs types to have to do the same gap-jump as the beanpoles". I had to run (proportionally) further, jump higher, and lift more weight than 'average' folks.

But all that pales into insignificance when compared with the deliberate and nasty heightism that is rife in UK shoe shops! Arrrrrrgh!!! rage

Tall people tend to have bigger feet. This is generally a FACT. It's meant to stop them from falling forward in normal conditions. So why the juddering fk do shops insist on putting the smaller sizes at the top of the display? Yeah, funny fkers, aintcha? Put the clown shoes at the bottom, so that the poor tall people have further to bend down to reach them. Then put the smallest sizes on the top shelf so that the short folks can't reach them without sheepishly asking for assistance. It's not even discriminating against just short folk - it also makes life more awkward for the very tall.

Thank goodness for the internet though. It was hell being short when all the boobie-mags were out of reach on the top shelf... wink

who'd have thought being better looking helps at dating!!

re. the gym, i assume its mostly smaller guys attempting this for reasons mentioned above, as taller folks dont need to. i have no idea as have no desire to be ripped.

I think you're missing my point. Obviously being better looking is better but atleast 1 in 10 women will put something like 6ft+ only or swipe left if under 6ft whereas I've only seen the odd one say less than 9/10 don't bother.

The second point is a fact based limb length, I've not noticed a particular prevalence for short people in the gym outside the norm.

For context I'm 6'1" and reasonably happy with my height, I've struggled in plane seats so can only imagine how grim it is for those 6'3"+.

Heights of Mr Olympia winners through the years. The average is below the national average.

ETA. Strongman is a different matter although not many people aspire to their body image anymore.

As has been already stated, only 15% of men are taller than 6ft and only 3% of men are 6ft2 and above. Go on any kind of dating website and the majority of women state that the man must be 6ft and above because "I like to wear heels"

I am 6ft, my girlfriend is 5ft 4 yet when I met one of her friends the first thing she said was "Oh, you are not as tall as I thought you would be"

I used Tinder for a while and a few times after we had agreed to meet, the woman would ask me how tall I was. I would reply 5ft 6 just to see their response and every time I would give it a couple of minutes to see their reaction and every time they would not respond until I replied "Only joking 6ft".
Don’t know where your stats are from but there’s no way they are correct. I’m just touching 6ft2 and when I am in the gym for instance many guys are nearly the same size as me. I also live near a secondary school with a 6th form and it’s shocking how many young lads who look about 14 to 17 are all really tall definitely at least 6ft. Even women seem to be getting taller. I Seen my 14yr old cousin and her friend the other day and with heels on they were not far off me and there only 14! I’ve noticed when I am in bars or clubs aswell i would say the majority of women in heels on a night out are not far off 6ft.
I agree though women in general seem to have such hang ups about men having to be over 6ft it’s ridiculous. Ad into the mix they have to be jacked now aswell to show how alpha they are is just getting silly. The fact Most women are so shallow when it comes to things like height etc it’s no wonder they all end up with dheads. Nearly every woman I know spends most of there time moaning about there asshole boyfriend who cheats on them etc but they never leave them because they tick there shallow list of boxes on things like height, appearance and money or cars etc
